MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

I have been getting this error sometimes after load shedding and i want to know if its just me. When power comes back my internet is down. The router says 'concentrator not reachable' and all lights on router are on except the internet one. Is this because of load sheding? Is it a telkom error, or an mweb one? (My isp is mweb). The problem seems to resolve itself after 4 days and this is unacceptable. I work from home and i need a 24/7 internet connection. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mweb

I've been having high packet loss lately and random connection drops (Download speed is still fine though)
This all started happening after Telkom's maintenance within the Benoni/Rynfield area, on an early Thursday.
Called customer care and they couldn't really resolve the issue, so i'm not sure if it's the maintenance or something else.

Thanks in advance. AVX

Same here, I'm on the MWeb Premium 2Mb Uncapped and getting serious disconnects and lag lockups for the past 3 days or so.

I use this connection for gaming and everything is unplayable at the moment. Can't move. DOTA 2, Diablo3, BF4, Destiny etc. but oddly enough youtube and other download speeds seems to be OK.

Can anyone with MWEB confirm if there is a problem?

Edit: No wait, YouTube also acting up. What gives?

Hi AVX

It's difficult to say what it could be.
Send me your MWEB account info via PM and I'll check it out for you.

Also getting disconnects and heavy lag (200-400ms) at night with Mweb 2meg uncapped.

Hi Mweb Guy

So Telkom is working on my line problems and such, so thanks for that.

But while I'm here, I had a chat with one of my buddies and just wanted to clear something with you. I know there's a member here who has posted the data usage/FUP threshold numbers but I just wanted to check with you directly.

From what I understand

2Mb Standard Account = 70GB per month
1Mb Premium Account = 100GB per month

Now here's my friends' current 2Mb standard account aka 70GB

As you can see with the above screenshot, the account is currently over 70GB within the 30 days rolling period, however the account is not throttled. Obviously we're not complaining but this brings me to my questions..

1.) I've heard by a member that the limits have been increased? Is that true and if so, what would be the new figures be?
2.) Does upload data count towards the throttle limits? Other members have been throttled on exact amounts 70GB/100GB/etc. which is why I believe upload is included.

Just some clarity would be nice :)

Mweb guy, can I pm you a cancellation request or what's the process to follow please?

Hi Thestealth

You need to log in online via My Account and put in your request.

Is there anything I can assist with to change your mind?

Seeing this a lot over the last week or two.
