MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Line is synced according to the router page, but there is a red light on the Internet indicator.

"If the internet light is flashing or red, this could mean that your data account is not being accepted."

Ok the light stays red, do we assume it's a Telkom authentication problem? Load shedding?
 
Ok hooked up another router still no joy. Broadband is synced (stationary green light), Ethernet is blinking with dataflow, but Internet light is out.

My FON router reports the same issue :

DSL GREEN
Test Failed ATM RED
No ATM activity detected on your DSL line.

I'll just leave it for now and hope it comes back online before Monday morning :) Btw, thanks for the help, you're on the ball mate!

Now, i dont know if this was Mweb or Telkom, but thought id ask anyway.

A week or 2 ago, i was getting a 120 MS in World of warcraft, it was amazing, i was instantly in love. But then it went back to its normal :( .. i know latency is affected by distance etc etc etc, but i would just like to know what happened and if its something planned for the future?

Sounds like a plan. :D If issues persist then, rather get provider that manages your line to recreate your port and log a fault to Telkom for you.

Hi, please share traceroute results with me so that I can confirm if there's any issues with your latency.
 
So umm.. I downgraded my account temporarily. And just yesterday I upgraded back to my 4Mbit premium uncapped account..

I hope this is just a bug in your system where it doesn't realize Im now on a new package and doesn't actually end up throttling me...

I have checked and you are certainly not close to the threshold.

Evening Schitzo, we have no reported outages pertaining to international traffic at the moment.
 
everyone in my CS game (hosted on mweb in cpt) from GP disconnected earlier and have have 200+ ping. Was hilarious..
 
As soon as it hit 12:00am my router started giving me the 'concentrator not reachable' error again. There was no load shedding in my area today and ive checked the network outage page and my area isnt currently listed as having a problem. So wtf exactly is going on. I am so sick of this error. What does it mean and why is it happening so often. I cant go a week without it happening

Afternoon Azex, the error can be for various number of things.

However it will pop up whenever a connection is not possible.

Are you able to test with an alternate router?
 
It came back after 3 hours. I tested a different router last week. Different router and different accounts dont seem to work.
