Yes, I understand that. I'm asking if it's possible to set my threshold to something really low, so my account is always throttled.
I did, but I can repeat if you like:
1) My SSH connections get artificially throttled.
2) Eventually my SSH connections will have TCP RST packets inserted by you guys, completely terminating the connection. This is also known as a man-in-the-middle attack on my TCP connection, or simply "the Mweb treatment".
3) VPN connections are useless. I get about a 20 second window where I can get packets through on my VPN connection, and then 1-2 minutes where all incoming (but not outgoing) traffic is blocked. ie, if I ping from my side to the other side of the VPN, I can see with tcpdump on the other side of the VPN that the ping packets arrived, but the replies from the other end never arrive back.
4) Sometimes even my game connections get the Mweb treatment. There's a game I play that uses both UDP and TCP. UDP for actual game events, and TCP for chat/info. Sometimes Mweb blocks the UDP part of the game connection so I can only get chat and game info messages, but I can't move or see other people move. Occasionally it's the TCP connection that gets the Mweb treatment instead, but that connection gets reestablished, so that's less of a problem.
Problems 1 and 2, which are the most annoying, go away when my account is throttled.
