If I switch to Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4) it works perfectly. Switch back to MWEB DNS (196.28.182.20 / 196.28.75.220) and it no longer works.

I just received word, if it possible to send me the traceroute and ping results to http://guildwars2.ncsoft.com/ as this will aid us with the investigation.

Supposed to be the beta login, but it's not active yet, although folks can log in from https://account.guildwars2.com/login

Well, for now I'm a bit stumped at how the login system is pretty much half-baked and incomplete.

I would've figured they'd have everything up and running on the day of its pre-release launch.

Also, registration was an ambiguous pain in the arse and NCSoft's insistence on those bloody ridiculous "e-mail" usernames (Blah@ncsoft) where it says, "E-mail" doesn't help. Also, apparently it sent verification e-mails to the @ncsoft addresses which, needless to say, haven't gone through to anyone yet.

So far it's the epitome of a great game with a shoddy publisher behind it. Big surprise :p
 
Lol. Trust me its even worse if you didn't had a master account and only a login (early gw days) and you try to get your details out of them. All I can say it was not erm pleasant.

Oh, been there, done that.

I had the Prophecies and Factions CEs. The username was stuffed up thanks to my ex (so, in essence, it became his e-mail address). After numerous attempts and explanations to get them to change the ****ing thing, they refused.

So now I have a new account with four new standard editions. I kept my vanity pets, gold and whatever else I could. But the rest is gone.

NCSoft is a bloody awful publisher, with godawful support and a pathetic back-end system.

But... alas... what can a guy do when he's a fan of one of their IPs? And hey, at least they're not Ubisoft. For whatever semblance of pitiable gratitude I can muster out of that.
 
Hi Mweb guy

Last night I could not download any torrents, the downloads will start then they stop, when I reboot my router it will do the same, did anyone else have this problem...?

We have no reported outages on the network for last night, your line fault is still open though. Was if only your Torrents that were affected?
 
Hi Mweb guy....

My line was fixed again yesterday, after being off for the long weekend the call I have with telkom is also open, I will not close the call until my line is working for a full month lol, after 4 months now this still has not happend. Its just weird that it worked that way last night, earlier in the night I had DNS problems, were one could not browse at all, I though it could be the router, swopped it out with my spare router, but still had the same problem, then at about 9 last night the DNS problem seemed to go away, browsing was fine, then when I started my downloads, I had to restart my router 3 times and then went to bed... this morning my torrents downloaded not even 80MB per download... First time this has happened since I am on Mweb..

Hi,

My connection keeps dropping every few minutes. It doesn't disconnect but my router will show 0 kbps down / 0 kbps up suddenly, before returning to 4096/512. It has made playing any games online very difficult.

I don't think it's my line because I've tried using a non-Mweb account and had no trouble. Any ideas or help?
 
Also can't access that guildwars thing. More importantly my torrent speeds today haven't gone above 3 kbps :/ Normally is shaped during the day to something like 25-60 kbps but today is terrible

If you're losing synchronisation, it can only be your DSLAM. Use the non-Mweb account long enough and it'll happen there too. Rebooting the router generally helps (which may be why it seems to be fine after switching to another account) but the DSLAM will just act up again later unless what originally caused it to happens gets resolved.

Mine gets very tetchy once in a while too.
