Is anyone else noticing serious throttling on the uncapped accounts.

I have a 1meg uncapped shaped account and while I accept that certain protocols are shaped and throttled I am a little irritated that normal HTTP downloads are being throttled. Only getting between 50 - 70% of normal download speed.

Hi killerbyte,

Firstly let me assure you MWEB does not throttle. If you have a shaped account, then shaping will be imposed.

It is dynamic and therefor your speeds will fluctuate.

What type of download is it and where are you DL from?

Please provide me with your MWEB account details and I'll investigate further.

Please also include a speedtest, tracert & ping results.

Yes i did after i got the sms at 12:50 today, and i just switched off my router for about 5-7 mins after reading your reply, and here is the new tracert

Same problem here, youtube unusable on 4mb line.
Had account reset yesterday back to same crap today. 28mb takes 1h 30m to download. Dialup is way faster!

2 months with Mweb and wondering if it was the right choice.
