MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Probably already been asked a few times before at least. My WTFast 6 month subscription from you awesome guys at MWEB has expired, any plans to extend/renew this for those of us who need it? A drop from 280 down to 180ms playing WoW and SWTOR is a drastic increase in playability for me personally.

Peace

Hi bradap

I will need to find out about this and I will get back to you.

Regards
MWEB Guy

I think there is some congestion on the sinoville exchange again or could it be mwebs fault?

All of my local latencies are through the roof!

Hi tp3to,

As far as I am aware, there are no reported outages on our network.
The only issues are the one's posted on our notice board.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

Well I have tested it with an afrihost account and it is working 100% on it. So it leaves me to believe that it is mweb related.

Latencies has come down now but still very unstable with spikes.

Hi tp3to,

Please see my reply to the PM you sent me.

kind regards,

I've got the same problem, fast on my axxess prepaid account and slow on mweb account. Tired of rebooting my modem 10 times a day. Can't even do proper nzb searches let alone download on news servers. Guildwars is totally unplayable on mweb account.
Stuck in the slow loop the past 2 weeks.

Hi Vl@d,

Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention.
Please see the PM I sent you.

kind regards,
MWEB Guy

nntp(mweb server) seems to be less shaped than http....strange thing is having a limited nntp connection running seems to speed up my http download ;/
As if one is reminding the other that its still connected or somethin. Also kalahari.com is VERY lazy speedwise.

Yes my friend I can assure you that there might be a few extremely heavy users in this town because it seems that congestion causes every single type of downloading connection to be either 0-5KBps or 10-20KBps with some very random bouts of 30KBps or even 40KBps that lasts for a few seconds. :)
http and torrents seem to be especially hard hit. In the last 15 hours I have been able to download 800MB of a file using http....not exactly optimal.

EDIT:Ok if i leave only nntp on it gets 20-30KBps at least...gave up on the http.

Hi rambo919,

Please advise if you are still experiencing these speeds with nntp and http.

Kind regards,
MWEB Guy

Can anyone confirm if they can access www.nexusdb.com

I can't access it or its so slow and that is on both of my lines. one is a business and the other a normal home uncapped.

I tried rebooting router, restarting pc, clearing the cache of browser and pc, etc etc.
