Please confirm if you are able to send mail with the gmail servers.

Unfortunately I think you may be right. We've just picked this up again on on our call center trends and I've flagged it with our networks team to notify Google.

*EDIT*

I just had a look at this on our test bench myself, the traces look normal today, but the POP connection timed out. Our engineers have had feedback from Google that they're not reporting any issues on their side at the moment - we're going to run some more tests here and see if we can narrow this down.

ICMP traffic (traces) look normal but TCP traffic to those destinations is timing out - our guys are in communication with Google and keeping me updated on any progress.
 
Hi Guys

Our engineers have set up alternate routing for the Google traffic until such time as the peering issue can be resolved. Please can you test and let us know if it's working for you now?

Nonsense started again around 1-2 hours ago... But seems to be only a few people having issues here at the office. Been working now for past 15 minutes again.
 
Hi all.

Having terribly slow speeds on my Mweb Uncapped account today. Happened last week or the week before too, just for a couple of hours then it was resolved. Still an issue though, at this time of the day.

Getting 103.1 KB/sec via saix.net Speedtest. Should be way higher. MWEBGuy has been helping via Twitter, but curious as to what's causing this, and why it's so frequent of late?

Mweb speeds are very slow with regards to everything(browsing/gaming etc)

varying from 30-60 k/s(speedtest)

I do the same speed test on afrihost or cybernet and i get 100k/s there for it's not my line..

STill waiting to hear whats up with myadsl..

My area is kzn-newcastle.

Edit:Iv been a very happy customer,but this past month has been chaos with mweb and im very disappointed,my patience wont hold for ever.

I have checked your account my side and I cannot see any issues on it.
I have also checked the line and I see no problems there either.

Would you mind sending me a trace route test to the mweb.co.za site from all 3 accounts in question.
Also include speed test results of each account from here.
You can send it to me via PM.

Are the other 2 accounts also uncapped accounts?
I ask as other ISP's shaping differ to our shaping especially on capped accounts.
