if i want to move my telkom internet line to mweb what must i do?
and what speed do i get using mweb line vs telkom line?
or dont it have a affect on the speed?

I have tested this from my side and I am not having any trouble. Is this happening to all downloads or just one in particular ?

You can let me know if you want to migrate the line and I will take it from there.
If you migrate the line to us it will migrated at the same speed that you currently have.
 
I have never got more than 400 Kbps - usually around 360 upload on my 4Mbps uncapped line - is this normal for Mweb Uncapped? It would be a pity considering we use VOIP alot and would like to sustain decent call quality with conference calls.

Maximum upload on a 4 meg line is 512kb so even if you got that it probably wouldn't make a huge difference, that should be more than enough bandwidth for voice-only calls. I don't have any issues with Skype etc on MWEB.
 
Is anyone else getting high latency/lag spikes on the Guild Wars 2 beta?
My lag has been terrible since this morning.

Ho Qrox, I am not aware of any issues around gaming at the moment.
Tell me is this the only trouble you are experiencing ?
 
As far as I'm able to tell everything else is running fine. Might be server related, but it doesn't seem like my friends are experiencing this problem like I am.

I didn't play that much but I didn't have any lag in the beta hey.

Did someone kick the news server or is it frozen or something?
It connects and as the download starts it disconnect and then i get a error finding article
I changed my settings back to news.mweb.co.za but i still get the same
I also changed my DNS to obtain automatically
but i still get the error

Good MOrning Kimbo, is that the only traffic on your connection at the moment? Have you tried another file?

Edit: we have no reported issues with our news servers at the moment.

Yes nothing else is running

Yea have tried four files but i get the same

I get the same, here is a screen shot of the errors .. i also get gracefully closed now

Do you get a response when you ping our news server?

Also do you perhaps have another download app you can test with?

yes the ping goes trough, i will download one and test .. gimmi a moment

Edit: I am using SABnzbd now. seems like my Grabit did not survive the cold. Thx for the help

International seems to be crawling tonight - anyone else having problems?

Speedtest ping in the 700s??

Edit: Rebooted router - all seems ok now

I've been having a problem with my connection since last week. Local seems "fine" but international connection speeds are crawling. We have a up to 10meg Telkom ADSL with a 4meg Mweb uncapped account.
Speedtest.net to both London and Frankfurt shows an upload is between 0.4 and .8 (which is fine).
Downloads however are between 0.3 and 0.5Mbps.
Again, this is on a 4Mbps line syncing at around 9.2. Connection was stable before with almost no problems for the previous couple of months.

Pingtest.net shows stable ping (~200) with 1-5 jitter.

Doing a tracert to bbc.co.uk runs fine until the 11th hop where I get a '* * * Request Timed out'. After which the pings come through fine (189-210). This is a consistent pattern.

The problem is also present on a Webafrica unshaped account as well as an unshaped Afrihost account. The numbers are a little different, but again consistent for each connection.

I've already tried resetting my router multiple times, as well as keeping it off for an extented period. The pattern is exactly the same.

Is there an international outage that I'm unaware of? Or is it a physical line issue? Which would suck, because I finished a 2 month long battle with them in January to get 11 blocks of underground cables replaced... v(X_xv)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
