I am left with no conclusion other than that the problem exists upstream of my router. That means my line or a proxy server, a caching server or a shaping server.
Any suggestions welcome. I've completely and utterly exhausted my options.
Personally, I would start a new thread in the ADSL section: but here is my suggestion. Get telkom to reset your line, and if that doesn't work get a techie out to have a look and check the line using their router. Out of interest what is your attenuation and noise margin?
Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin 34.5 dB 12 dB
Line Attenuation 41.5 dB 23.5 dB
CRC Errors 2 0
Latency Fast Fast
Hi, has anyone had difficulties with applying for Mweb? I originally applied on 1 April and up to now still haven't had any progress and its pissing me off!... I get shifted from one person to another constantly, and get promised that they will call me but they never do...

Mweb, my analogue line has been installed, how do i go about getting my all inclusive deal (4mb) from you but only have it activated from 1st May?

You can do it online at www.mweb.co.za/adsl. I would be careful though with the activation date. It sometimes takes time for the line to go from Telkom to Telkom Wholesale to MWEB so your activation date may be somewhat later than that. I would call 08600 32000 and make sure you have all the facts.
i don't have ADSL yet though, so shouldnt it be straight from Telkom to Mweb?
Erm, online signup attempt #1

* Cellphone is not in the correct format
You only *allow* me to put in the cellphone number with the - - - characters, its really not my fault your forcing it.
@MWEB: Is there any particular issue in the Durban Area? I am currently getting speedtests of 0.34mbits down to NY on speedtest.net. I have been on the 4meg uncapped option since the day you released it, and this is the first severe degredation of service that i have experienced. I have checked my connection and my line is syncing fine with plenty of noise margin so i can only assume its an MWEB specific issue?
