Somalian Pirates i tell you!!

Hahaha, but I'm loving the connection..
Ya speeds arent what you get from capped accounts, but every one knows that!!
If you didnt start reading the forums and all ISP's T&C for uncapped services..
Plus ADSL is a "best effort" service...
If you dl at 15kB/s there are a host of potential reasons! So dont just blame Mweb...

BTW it seems like you really hate Mweb Brad!!?

semaphore....don't talk to me like i'm a new user....i've prolly been in the industry longer than you can spell your own name... i think at this point i'm just going to be quiet cos i might just say and do something that i am going to regret, get myself banned from this forum and have my IP address blackholed...again...

Awww you such a big boy hey *claps excitedly for you*, you're so big and tough on the interwebz. You be banned before? Woah you're pretty hardcore. you going to use PING-O-DEATH on me eh? please dont snurf my connection.

ill stop now.

Thanks for the feed back mweb.

@MWEB ... i havent seen anything about any probs with Seacomm. None of the other ISPs(Axxess, AH, WA) have reported probs with Seacom either. I dont see anything on MWEB notices pages about probs with Seacom either. what exactly was the problem?

lol

L2Read Industry expert, MWEB has said there was problems with the power supply.

there does appear to be some kind of thresholding going on, maybe they've switched over temporarily to a SAT3 fallback till the SEACOM thing is resolved?

nope...not stirring....in search of answers...but instead i get some guy who thinks he knows everything...i was following a thread and based my questions on comments /opinions posted in the thread but clearly ppl are seeing at as offensive and childish...

Back off, or what ? please dont make idle threats you look like a nab who just found the internet.

i've been banned for speaking my mind and challenging one of the "GrandMaster" and "SuperAdmin" posting about info they posted on a RFC and DNS issue. It was because I made my point and proved them wrong and not because I was stirring any kind of trouble. Are you saying that my question about throttling, policy-based routing is not a fair and/or valid one?

@semaphore ....i actually do agree with the redundancy comment you posted ...is there any and if so, can it handle the capacity? Back in the day MWEB had their main backbones in a triangle formation and each point had a link into another ISP as well as T1 links running in between. I don't know if the network topology has changed since then and how dense its become and I do know that telkom was trying to get them to buy VPN based solution from telkom as backups.

i'm not afraid of being banned as long as its for the right reason and I am provided with what that reason is!

Hmmm

something does seem rather strange

What im curious about thou is, when seacom dies, why are we not routed via redundancy ?
Hi semaphore,

The re-routing process is not instanteous and starts with critial services, however as these interruptions have been so brief the primary path has been restored before complete failover of all routes have occured.

MWB.

bradlesliect post a tracert please.
I am on the 384 and have had great speeds.

semaphore ....go play in traffic or something... i'm here to express my views just as others do... i dont make threats and/or intimidate anyone. you sound like someone who has a huge chip on your shoulder...go find a tree or something...

Ahh ok, you can go to bed now:D

@mike - i'm going to do a speed test again and post that

@usshin - where are you? cos it sound like we having the same problem? even videos from you tube are taking some time - longer than usual - to stream and buffer
