I think the frustration has always been there but me thinks ppl are starting to get personal on some of the comments being posted. If you don't have anything CONSTRUCTIVE to add(comments, opinions, criticisms)...then dont add anything at all?

@Tim182

downloading via HTTP works fine, most times I get my full 39kb/s...using any other protocol it SUX! I use Orbit Downloader for http downloads.

All been good so far this weekend - downgrade in performance of Rapidshare in the last half an hour or so to around 100k.

@bralesliect: Have you noticed any changed in your performance that you were upset about last week or has it been constant?

@AT

nah...not really ...I get max(39kb/s) with normal http download using Orbit downloader but limewire crawls at about 5kb/s and grabit(connecting to news.mweb.co.za) will max at about 20kb/s and I am not running all of these simultaneously... you on 4MB hey? so you should be getting AT LEAST 300kb/s

....spoke to soon....http download from a ZA site dropped to 9kb/s....

For regular http download not off Rapidshare I get my 400 or so. Actually, RS has picked up to 240 now, not too shabby.

It sounds like you're still getting close to line speed for http, and losing out somewhat to the more shaped P2P (limewire) as expected. What I don't get is the slow news server. If it's mweb's server it should be pretty speedy.

Dude who is your ISP? Sounds pretty good.

ditto that AT ... even getting email from from mweb email server has delay of about 15-25mins...

Try to be polite. Really try. Take up your complaints with the ISP directly. PM the MWeb reps. Nobody here can do anything to assist you. Check out some of the threads where people have posted how many GIGABYTES of data they have downloaded. That hardly sounds like a bandwidth-fixing scam. Anyhow, I'm no longer participating in these "conspiracy" discussions. You are welcome to believe what you want and you are welcome to post one more time to have the last word if you wish.

The only person who said anything about a conspiracy is you. Please take a course in arguing, because you really are hopeless at it.

Is it just me or does he not see the irony

As for taking complaints to the ISP directly, last time I was put on hold long enough for my months airtime to run out....I know being stonewalled when it happens, or incompetance take ur pick

Sorry, but didn't I see a whole lot of gripes from Wolfy about Mweb here on MyBB not too long ago?? This guy confuses me ...

@schickelgruber Mweb.

Delays for email of that size would seem to indicate a greater problem - that's not throttling or shaping. Just mweb server email or does this affect other mail?

YO! Tanya and Sabre! Can you take this offline already? This is getting quite boring now and clogging up a thread that contains some useful info! THANK YOU!

Something for All those other Service Providers to strive for

For all the naysayers and anti-Mweb people - the proof is always in the pudding or more appropriately the stats.

I've has DSL for years and only since going on to MWEB can i honestly say, even though we're nowhere near international standards, MWEB is the best out there -

To be absolutely honest Brad - i truly thought everybody was having the SAME experience as me. So i just chalked it down to MWEB's excellent uncapped solution....but i do live like 100m from the exchange - so perhaps that helps too :-)
