Seeing as the other thread was locked here is a new one.

As an unshaped, uncapped 384k client, will i get the "call" if i hit 90GB for three months?

Why was the other thread locked? It wandered too far off thread from being the "official" thread? :)

You don't get the call when you download a lot, you only get it when you neglect their T&Cs.

As you are an unshaped subscriber you are pretty much safe from 'the call' since there are no bandwidth priorities.

If you get 90GB with Mweb's shaping, no problem. If you get 90GB bypassing MWeb's shaping, that's a different story. Although it might be a while before they start targeting 384k users.

I know its been covered before but i can find it, is it safe to use @mweb.co.za instead of dslmweb.co.za,

As an unshaped client? No. The only people that are getting the call are those that are bypassing the shaping (intentionally or not) and you don't have any shaping to bypass.

A few people here have tried to say that MWEB's service is 'uncapped', but not 'unlimited' and tried to make something out of it. Well, I can now confirm that they are now advertising it as both 'uncapped' and 'unlimited' in the print promo I saw today.
