Mweb Uncapped, Shaped vs Mweb Uncapped, Unshaped for torrents

Hey guys,

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I cant seem to find a thread...

Just wanted to know if I would see a major difference in speed when it comes to downloading torrents, if I had to move from my current setup (Mweb Uncapped, Shaped 4mbs line) to their business offering of uncapped, unshaped 4mbs. :confused:

Any feedback would be appreciated. Dont wanna spend the extra R1500 p/m on the upgrade if I wont see much of a difference...

Torrents on MWEB shaped is waste of time. I just canceled my mweb 4meg shaped. I'm moving to openweb GOLD shaped:

I'm on openweb gold 384k.

Happy enough. Got kicked off SAOL uncapped, when they realised their maths sucked. Openweb hasn't given me any issues.

Whats the difference between Openweb uncapped standard and uncapped gold?

EDIT: But I see Grand Past Master is positing daily speed tests on Openweb Gold and the ISP is given as Vodacom?

No need to get MWeb unshaped and pay so much more. Unshaping service is only like R85/mo which can cover Rapidshare or Megaupload and torrents.

Thats because they have more than type of backbone for their gold accounts. Where Grand Past Master's account is Vodacom based, mine is Mweb based, just like Elev8r's account. Two months ago I did about 60GB on my 384k uncapped gold account and I have to say I'm quite happy with the performance I've been getting with it. The gold accounts are worth the extra money in my book :)
