DNS seems to be fixed for now. Strange thing is my news was being pointed to IS for some reason when using google.

Had full speed from about 9 last night up until I left this morning at 8am.

Was still motoring at 390KB/s

2nd last month of Mweb, heading over to the uncapped express+

Cool - let me know when you have done 350gb in a month on it.

I almost reached the maximum theoretical upload per day limited yesterday :p
On a 4mbps line you get 512kbps upload so the theoritical limit is 51kb * 3600s * 24h = 4.4GB.
I managed to do 4113.0MB :D

All problems seem solved, finally! Huzzah!

Ping is standard again, speed is fine and I have to say, my phonecall to Mweb yesterday was very well recieved - no roundabout "try this" things, just a straight out, "we know there is a problem and should have it fixed by tomorrow".

Seems they did, lets hope they keep it that way.

my usage shows as 24gb this month so far on a 384kb line ! not too bad! i just wish i knew where it all went :D

im flying on my 384 at the moment :) Ok shaping for torrents during the day is damn slow but between 12am - 8am its full speed for me? Browsing is always quick and http downloads never dip under 15kbps anytime of the day .I was connected last week friday and my usage is reflecting at 13 gb! Im not worried about latencies etc...i have almost TRIPLED my Telkom usage in 1 week. Thank you Mweb... thank you kindly :p

Anyone need a guide on torrents with HTTP? PM me.
Just remember, be it via P2P, FTP or HTTP, as soon as something start pulling a lot of bandwidth and it causes QoS issues for other users, MWeb will throttle it.
They are doing it on Rapidshare and Hotfile and those are on HTTP. Thats the beauty of uncapped, we can throw anything at it and MWeb won't complain, they'll just manage it.

Been great the past 2-3 days, but again today things seem a little sluggish, or at least wildly inconsistent. HTTP download is fluctuating between 5KB/s and 200KB/s (though sticking more often to the low end), and this isn't an HTTP download that would be considered file sharing, it's just a plain old HTTP download. Streaming from places like Gametrailers is near nonexistant, even at standard def, while yesterday and Friday things were smooth at high def. Something's up again.

don't know what you folks done, but keep on keep on.

First 2 weeks of the month has been very frustrating , but now it seems mweb has opened up it's network and removed most of the restrictions, since friday it's been motoring.

clean burning pipes and all, plus double clutch :)

it would seem to me there are network problems. what remains to be seen is how long the time between problems is. or if i can get my customary 250GB.
