Connection is completely messed up tonight. HORRIBLE speed and my pings in World of Warcraft are 15000m +. No, that's not a typo :(
 
Roflol, this is histerical! Mweb saw how everyone was praising them because speeds were flying earlier, so they decided that they'd much rather have people hate them and complain and they flipped a switch and all shaping went to hell. hahahaha, you have to admit, it is rather funny :)
 
Time to kick MWEB into touch. Today was supposed to be what it's like on your new network, and it's still as **** as before.

Couldn't even download 4Gb from 7am till 7pm on HTTP from non-file sharing sites. Back to my Express+ account, even though it's running after hours only I can get an in hour what MWEB takes the whole day to not get. The extra monthly fee I can easily cover by not having my PC on the whole day every day to try and get a file.

If you ever have a decent service again, I will try you out.

You're right, necr0, it is funny. My connection has been running great for a couple of weeks now, and just when they are finished with the "upgrades', it croaks. *headdesk*
 
Lol! their upgrade is more like a downgrade! instead of adding an additional 1.2GB of international bandwidth they have decreased international bandwidth by 1.2GB :D Watch how the rep is gonna reply about some bull***a and then he is gonna say that they will be doing another major upgrade in another month or 2, and we will all see improved connections. Thats another month or 2 of more anal rapage from our wallets. Oh and lets not forget, when that time comes, things are going to get even worse and their excuse will be that they didnt anticipate the amount of customers that have moved to mweb and all their bandwidth is gone. Then they will tell us that they are going to add an additional 10GB of international bandwidth. So all in all, thats a good couple of thousands out of our wallet. Till then, lets smile and open our gaping aholes wide for them.
 
Well, my speeds are also a bit messed up but not due to MWEB, stupid wireless &#&#!!!

Testing tonight and will let you know how it's going. Not looking good though.
 
WTF tonight the internet is not usable! WTF is going on again? Can no one in SA provide a decent internet experience?
 
Speed for downloads aside the latency is a little high tonight. Playing on a WoW server where it was normally around 350-450 now it's going up to 1000ms? What is up with the backbone Mweb? Would just like to know. I was really happy this weekend but now it's slipping back to what it was just a few days ago. This is in the Durban Area.

lol NNTP dead in the water, can't even auth with Supernews :( Maybe they mislabeled the shaping switch, cause this afternoon it was flying, now ("after hours") it's dead meat. The mind boggles :)
 
I am sure that their MWEB Operations guy will post here shortly telling us they are doing more changes, just wait a week. Repeat.

All the way they are happily taking your subscription while they make empty promises that they cannot deliver on. It's good to see the MWEB of old back in top form.
 
Why do we have to give a months notice? do they give us a months notice on our connections not working?
 
Just to add my voice to the crowd. Definite problem with P2P traffic, BitTorrent running no better than it was last week (roughly 10KB/s/torrent * 2 torrents).

Running 4mbits uncapped. Unacceptable that I'm getting roughly 1/20th of what I should be able to expect given my line speed (again, I don't expect 400KB/s 24/7, however, I have every reason to expect 400KB/s at least > 50% of the time).

When I decide to leave them, they can take their 1 months notice and shove it up their own behinds :P
