I did say that "Users of legacy technologies like IRC DCC, BBS, Beltel and other deprecated services might not get the full effect."
You are a known n00bserver user so you should not get any benefit.
Have you got the latest version of MS-DOS and Telix? That might help with performance.
Of if you are using the new "Windows" environment make sure you have the latest version of Trumpet Winsock and Tera-Term.

Either way, MWeb has been great for me! Watched the NBA kick-off last night, LIVE in f'd HD! HDMI the laptop to the TV, ice cold wine...Viva La Kobe Bryant!

As someone said, for every 1 customer that is unhappy with Mweb, 50 are happy with Mweb. I am part of those 50.

I have seen M-Web uncapped on 4mbps and 384kbps connections and if you do the right thing at the right time on your line (P2P at night HTTP in the day) then you can do a lot of data a month. Sure it might not be the best for online games or if you are stuck in the 80's with a fetish for BelTel, TeraTerm and n00b-servers. Also keep in mind they do have an unshaped uncaped package too, so if the shaping really gets to you - just fork out a couple of thousand more and your problem is fixed.

Nope, not at all, but this a solution. I bought the GamePass from NFL.com, NBA leaguepass from NBA.com, NHL CenterIce from NHL.com

All these services let you watch all the games in HD, LIVE, even if you are not in the US.

The world is moving in a great direction, it's just a tad sad that Africa in general is still FAR behind.

:D I love my sports lol, I can't live without that ***** no matter what.

Or it could be the fact that my MWEB, cybersmart and afrihost accounts all run like dog crap on my line at certain times of the day... yup it must be MWEB gremlins in all the other networks making sure everybody looks bad.
 
@Will, is the cellphone registration on the logmein broken. Been 9 hrs and still no confirmation code?

Had a call from one of your specialists last night, I explained that my issues have been partially sorted out, still some times where I need to refresh a Youtube page to properly load the video.
P2P has improved some - did a nice 4 gig download last night not too shabby, was peaking @ 300++
