Awesome hope you get it ... I got an excess of 19 Gigabytes down last nite from 7 pm to 7 am
this morning.

They rock this far ....
 
i think 550ms was pretty much around the best i ever got playing wow, remember its international servers. the physical limit of data travelling near the speed of light is actually a mayor part of the 550ms, which unfortunately would always be a problem, as far as we understand the physical world at the moment anyway :) im not gona do the math since its early, so if im wrong keep on moaning :)
 
Wow pings also depend on where the server is, not just the region (euro are us), eg euro servers in hamburg have higher latency's than those in Paris. Twilights hammer which is in Paris gives me 300-400MS on axess express+, on boulderfist server (hamburg) I would get about 150ms extra.

So "wow europe" latency's not all the same.

I am experiencing the same..Have a 4mb line and using Telkom Account I get 400-420k.
Uisng the new MWEB Uncapped account I get only 120-140k max..Tried different servers..no difference.

can you tell us what you are trying to download? and from where? using what service?

Hi HTC_guy

I tested it using newsgroups (Giganews - US & Europe Servers), Corporate downloads (using Europe & American FTP servers) and also tried downloading Symantec virus definitions files, all who would normally download at speeds exceeding 380k+.
When I switch over to my old Telkom 5gb Account I get the "normal" download speed...but when I switch over to the MWEB Uncapped Account (R539 account), the download speed never exceed 140k.
I have tried last night at 10:30pm, this morning at 6am and now again at 1pm, with the same result. I even switch routers as test..but no luck.
 
Our testing experience going different so far:

Maxing the line so far, want to see how soon we can get warned for abusing or what they will do about it, ie. limit, shape down ect.
 
I'm fascinated to see how the shaping works on this connection. Its not at all like anything else I've ever experienced, i.e. at exactly 7PM speeds start flying, as opposed to this with torrents et al ranging from about 10Kb/s to 23Kb/s during the afternoon, and speeds slowly climbing as the evening draws on.
 
Anyone know the restriction =- called MWEB and some guy said it was 80 gigs! i said to him so then its not really uncapped! LOL

/wonders should i sign up now or wait for price wars! already canceled my axxess uncapped express !

So far so good. Really impressed, and steviebogos that data amount was from the old Terms and Conditions that haven;t been updated for the new service yet. You should check out the official Q&A thread for more details about how much and when is best to download.

There is no restriction or threshhold. There is no fixed number. They will shape your account when necessary and will notify you if you are causing too much strain on their network.
 
really dissapointed. only getting 50kb/s on rapidshare with the 4mb/s service.

Hi Supmansa; it has already been indicated that rapidshare and other related "big download" protocols are being shaped (i.e. plain 'ol internet HTTP and email receive greater preference than those downloads). Its been stated on every topic you've posted on, and at step three of the M-Web signup page. I would however wait until this evening when things are quieter, apparently the shaping is somewhat reduced after hours.
 
WoW at 550 ms is OK but not great. Anybody else tested?
How's the Xbox Live speeds?

Ja, we've also explained that to him in several threads... but he seems to have a problem understanding English. It's probably best if he cancels and gets off the internet :D
 
Gtting 42kps on my 384 downloading torrents and Dota is smooth + HoN + youtube and wow! :love::D:love::D:D:D

LOL ofc not this isn't unshaped with Lowerping......
I spend half my time at AH or or getting ready for a raid which really doesn't require low ms.
It is pretty self explanatory that when the raiding starts its over to Unshaped.

just a quick note that 550ms was taken while I was streaming music and downloading a movie.
Right now its at 410ms without me going nuts on the connection.
