Thanks for the positive feedback gents and the support so far. It's hard to believe that around this time last year our uncapped launch was still in the planning stages. I'm looking forward to another year full of Internet milestones :)

Too true.

I think for me one of the most memorable things was a video segment the marketing team put together that was shown to the staff at our launch breakfast, the backing track for the video was Kaiser Chiefs "I predict a riot" :D
 
Anyone else get disconnected with Mweb uncapped accounts? I am using my axxess prepaid account for this post.

When are you being disconnected and what are you doing while being disconnected.

Also have been getting disconnected, thought it was router on the fritz.
I stay in Port Elizabeth and have gotten around 3 disconnects over the last 4 days

Hi Mike

That doesn't seem accessive, were you disconnected from an application or did your router disconnect. Please PM me your MWEB account details and I will investigate this further.

For those that want to unsubscribe, just a note. I cancelled my Mweb in November, so December was my last month. Do not for a second think that is the last you hear of MWEB - they are still deducting the money off my account for January for the 4Mb one that was cancelled. The lady on the support phone said this is normal, and they will use this as a credit for my 384kb uncapped account which I still keep. Apparently this is the last month this is going to happen, and there is nothing I can do about it.

So, if you are planning of cancelling MWEB easily, think again - it's harder to get rid of than herpes.

Hi fbman

This is a shaped service. Priority is given to normal web browsing, email, online banking and social networking type services. Shaping rules are however applied differently to the uncapped products.
