I got 6.23mb on a 10mb line with a mweb 4mb account. i had some speed problems ealry the month but all seems fine and dandy! don't know what the mweb guy did after i asked him about my connection speeds but he fixed it!

Latency just went for a ball of apricots .... again. Like a rollercoaster - up and down and up and down.

Mweb, just wondering.. when I post a comment on a picture on Airliners.net, why does it say I am from Mauritius?

For example - http://www.airliners.net/photo/South-African-Airways/Airbus-A340-642/1921297/L/

In the comments section, my comment is 'Excellent shot!' but it indicates me as from Mauritius. Any thoughts?

Are you experiencing this with all international websites or a specific site? Have you tried clearing your cache, cookies and temporary internet files?

I was enjoying great speeds last night......peaking at 550Kb/s on streaming and downloads. Now tonight its ground down to a screeching halt! Trying to download app updates and podcasts on iTunes and getting 30Kb-80Kb max. Also downloaded a software update earlier which did a max of 35Kbs which took an hour instead of a few minutes. Whats going on tonight MWEB??

Cleared cache etc, but this made no difference. I experience this with all international sites. Video streaming is also not good. NNTP on international is completely dead.

Now its completely dead to Astraweb. Normal HTTP seems fine though.

On NNTP to mweb's news server.

What is this about clearing cache and how do i do it? Wanna try anything i can.

Its at 17kb/s now and you guys already explained to me that its shaping. But what i dont understand is why is my connection shaped to NNTP at 9:41 in the evening to 17kb/s still? Surely it should only be shaped during office hours?

Lately disgusted at mweb speeds on uncapped shaped account. Trying to download a simple 14 mb patch at a maximum whopping speed of 14 kb/s switched to Axxess account and it's almost instantaneous

my speeds havent been great for the last 2 weeks, but neither terrible either.

downloading Virtualbox (http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.0.8/virtualbox-4.0_4.0.8-71778~Ubuntu~maverick_amd64.deb) for example on Mweb 4Mb Uncapped comes down @200-230KB/s whereas on a SAIX based account it's max'd out.

Im in the same boat. Not just Youtube though. G4 tv, STOked, Diablo sites all buffer every few seconds.
If you need info MWG/Will, I'm on a 4mb shaped uncapped, KZN.
