I never had a problem with the chat (at least not sustained) until 3-4 weeks ago. How bandwidth intensive could it be? I mean, when I can download a file at 270 KB/s (as I've just done) I don't see why the gmail chat should be struggling.

and then you can also use outlook to retrieve gmail emails, then you dont have to even load gmail![]()
Hi copacetic,
When you on the internet does the router drop connection? Is it only Gmail that is giving issues? Can you browse?
I had a look into your account and it shows your connection has been stable since 19 June.
Kind regards,
MWEB Guy
I've had the same problem for the past 3-4 weeks. I've got no sustained complaints from browsing to torrents to usenet, EXCEPT for little old gmail chat. It really is driving me nuts. I'm in Cape Town.
I'm getting pretty bad packet loss atm.

Anybody knows what happens if your MWeb account gets suspended due to abuse?
Will I get billed for next month? I think it's time MWeb and me part ways.
Downloading from apple site (update combined) not even getting 200KB/s
wonder if I should contact the call center
Update
Apparently we must use @dslmweb.co.za at night and mweb.co.za during the day.
@dslmweb.co.za => ipc
@mweb => saix
Yeah about 100KB/sHi interesting bit of info ! have you tried and does it make a difference?
Dear MWEB Guy
I have received warnings for excessive usage, and have responded and adjusted my usage patterns. Please note however, that over the past six months, my usage pattern has been consistant.
My service has always been excellent for the past year, except for the cable breaks, etc
I have never bypassed any of your protocols, yet the warnings keep on coming.
Where do I go from here?
