I have logged a fault with Telkom to check if the exchange you are connecting to is congested. Once I receive feedback, I will inform you thereof.

Hi Gatecrasher

If I'm hearing you correctly then you're essentially indicating that you will not comply with the acceptable usage policy and you would like to expedite your cancellation on those grounds? If this is case then if you would please PM me your username I will arrange this for you with immediate effect.

Also just to clarify, we are not currently in possession of a comfy chair - it was nicked by the architects next door.

speed is wonderful here.downloading 26 files each around 100mb and all of them are running higher then 20kb/s.i managed to get 50% done in 30min.

very happy with mweb today :)

Will, many thanks for your input. PM sent. Sad news about the comfy chair. I hope I can still get a cup of coffee at 11.

If you were on an uncapped account, the coffee is bottomless, but served in espresso-sized mugs if you were on the shaped account :) Although, I guess, if you are being terminated for contravening the AUP, then there's no coffee left :)

I've had the same problem for the past 3-4 weeks. I've got no sustained complaints from browsing to torrents to usenet, EXCEPT for little old gmail chat. It really is driving me nuts. I'm in Cape Town.
 
are you guys using the gtalk app?(not chatting on gmail) normally works fine for me , never had problems with it.

That's the problem, see. I like a tall Americano. Not 24/7... just when I'm thirsty.

Yeah. I know you're departing from MWEB, but do you think that the kind of account you (and others) require is essentially a capped service -- just with a large cap? So instead of shaped uncapped or (expensive) unshaped uncapped, you (and others) actually need unshaped capped with a cap of 100GB or 250GB per month?
 
yes i know you guys are using it inside, try to use the app its less bandwidth intensive, gmail , is actually heavy on bandwidth etc.

and then you can also use outlook to retrieve gmail emails, then you dont have to even load gmail :P
