Down again. Router clicking every minute or two as it syncs and desyncs. Got an SMS from MWEB saying that as per Telkom there is a network failure in the area, etc. I received this during the short period in which my line was working earlier.

Seems to be better now. Let's hope it stays that way :) Maybe Telkom was working in the idea -- upgrading my local DSLAM or something :)
 
Been getting 12kb -32kb downloads from Steam from the Mweb CT region. Seriously not seeing the point of purchasing the 4mb line deal if one gets these speeds.
Again, I tested my line, reset the router,reset my account, changed account name etc etc. Also tried another account with different ISP Not uncapped and Steam download gets 423kbps from same location. C'mon MWEB, It's something else,being throttled or something.
 
Massive timeouts this morning. Pretty much unusable for anything but browsing.....
 
@MWEB: Line up and down like a yo-yo again this morning. Router syncing and de-syncing.

Good Morning Slapdash, are you connecting to the MWEB servers? Are you connecting to the JHB or CPT servers?
 
Yes, connected to MWEB servers - I tried both CT and JHB same result.
Currently on CT. (My location)

It just spiked back to normal now - getting 400+. Nothing else other than usual running on my machine thats connected to the web and no updates. Whatever you did or did'nt do - leave it! :P

Ok thanks. When it started working again last night I thought it was resolved.

Good Morning Sillicur, as per your record you are currently doing a reboot. Please let me know if the reboot improves your browsing experience.

yes only if it is cached otherwise it is 30-50kbs, non cached does not pick up speed in night time , most recent stuff a gig or less is cached, HD content is normally not cached.
