Oh dear... I suppose we should have asked for "legitimate servers" hotmetal...
Pariah, your 40 ms is completely non-relevant to the WoW gaming community.

To answer your question hotmetal... its pretty crappy ... around 380 ms... you can get it lower with some proxy jumping...

RapidShare does not seem to be working right now. Anyone else experiencing this?
 
News servers are also running at below 1kbs. during peak times mweb sucks big time!! has anybody tried afrihost uncapped yet?
 
Stuff like Gametrailers isnt really loading :-/ seems a bit like moerse shaping to me.
 
Afrihost are only offering 4MB available initially to test the impact on their network, which is clever, at least they are not just dumping everything out now. They are making sure everything works first.....
So us non-4MB users have to wait a little longer. Its going to be worth the wait I suspect. So we will have to wait for a few guys with 4MB+ Lines to sign up and give us some feedback :-)
 
mweb are probably using this time to figure out how the heavy users plan to spend their bandwidth so they can shape it all out of existence. I'm sure the other ISPs are going to do the same. It's the same old story; they envision these packages as browsing/email accounts.
 
how are the speed atm? i cannot download from newsservers or rapidshare.

GameTrailers is working just fine for me, RapidShare is still not though. Switched to accounts with other ISPs and RapidShare works just fine. I wonder what's up?

Is this a free account on 512k, if so thats an incredible speed! Somethings wrong!

2nd Ping Test (much better)

Will do another before five to compare to this evenings speeds.

I cannot participate in this conversation since my account has not yet been uncapped. The "mistake" I made was to allow them to take my money for a year in advance, so now it seems I am destined to wait until end April.
 
It's almost 8PM and RapidShare speeds are crawling at 70-80kbps. Anyone else?
 
give it till 22:00.. I've noticed my speeds only fly after 22:00. And this has been happening for past 2 days now (even weekends)
