My friggin word ... how slow are uploads on this thing? I'm busy FTPing two mp3 files to my website. One is 11.44 MB and the other is 10.96 MB. Started the upload at 16:03. The first is now (16:41) sitting on 11% and the second on 13%.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Vodacom 3G to the rescue!

Hey all just want to clarify something, with the users that have the account at the moment. Is browsing and normal web usage fine during the day or is this shaped, specifically since they migrated their existing customers to the new packages??

No, normal HTTP such as browsing and youtube has been working fine all day. This was the median speeds I was getting today, I thinks its safe to assume speedtest.net is the same priority as normal HTTP and E-mail .

thanks for the feedback you on a 512kb line? the issue is client prefers IS but i wont go near afrihost or MWEB as i have had many issues there even though i know a few people! So looking at the Imagine accounts, just waiting for some test results

Yes, I'm on the 512k test account (although I've signed up with that account anyway). Afrihost is reselling IS bandwidth on their (new??) Basic Uncapped network, have a look at the Afrihost thread for that feedback. I also am of the opinion that it is IS and not afrihost who shapes the bandwidth. That however is a discussion for that thread.
 
Yup speed is upping - see what a bit of public moaning on facebook does ... mwhahahaha.
