I'm telling you, MWEB and the owners of the cables didn't sign any agreements... the data suppliers have seen the light, they don't want SA to be uncapped anymore - we are so screwed! :D

International still down.......on downloaded exactly 4GB since yesterday morning....512k free account :).....so i was pretty much maxing out the account....

Right...so from my analysis of this thread I have determined that due to the lack of a giant octopus protector, the owners of the undersea cables have used sharks with lazers to cap Mweb.

Noted.

Its an MWeb specific peer-to-peer ISP problem at the London end of the SAT-3 cable whick Telkom owns AFAIK...

Unless you work for mweb, telkom you shouldnt post information without factual evidence. And trace routes are not them.

@Killa - Yeah the last 3 pages said that.

Since it's 10am, anyone called their support centre yet? Got an ETA? Explanation of how it happened?
Not at home otherwise I'd have done it already (just sad for my queued dl's)

Thats right it starts with and earthquake, tidal waves...

free trial users must have realy abused their downloads, including me

I've called both of Mweb's tech support numbers and can't get through to either. Probably flooded with calls.

When you call the helpline (0860 11 22 52) it rings once and then goes dead....

Anybody else having more luck on a ETA for fixing this?
