Yea but try IS the ping does not change.

Does your ping change if you use another network? I have tried saix and IS and my pings are high :(.

Not certain mweb is to blame i think it may be telkom.
 
Both IS and Mweb have allocated space on *****com, god i cant wait for my month to month to end i will switch to axxess R999 thing.
 
Well i'll be a monkeys uncle... since i signed up, i had rubbish speeds. log on again today (Because Afrihost is SLOW) and going full line speed.

yeah my torrents are up to no good either. first half month were excellent...was too good to be true. now for the last wee i been getting not more than 10kb/s on a good day. Wonder what happened?

Yea but why does a saix give me the same pings though? Bought a gb to test out last month and it never helped.

My friend tested with his saix accout and he gets around 30ms to games.saix.net IS suck at peering as do mweb. I want to get away from this seacom bandwidth as much as possible.
 
It should be called the obsess of useless usage not Seacom or maybe Sea-come on get it right .
 
It does seem a bit slow tonight, but it will probably speed up after 2 again...
 
Nope, no i dont see an increase.
Between Afrihost & MWEB, both have 'outages' and blame network infrastructure. Yet for the next 10 days Afrihost is having network upgrades, and we have to pay the same price. It's stupid.
 
All that has happened is the demand for bandwidth has gone through the roof.

Our Internet cant handle it.

You cant put a 1st world solution on a 3rd world network.
 
What is up with Mweb atm? I'm on 384kbps Mweb uncapped and my latencies are 250-300ms to local sites and game servers. It was 50ms flat this morning & early afternoon.

I loved how SAINET managed their packages, by placing people in different shaping pools depending on their usage.
 
Looks at downloads, ah been getting constant 330KB/s speeds on downloads (HTTP) and Youtube since the 1st of this month. Thank ya MWEB
 
To be honest, i couldn't care less about latencies... i just want what i pay for. (Which for gamers includes low latencies)
 
Definitely something wrong with latency (local and international) at the moment, if I had to guess they are running on a backup link locally and its congested, increasing latency a lot.
