Hi everyone

Just a heads up to let you know that we are aware that there is a fairly widespread Telkom ADSL outage in Gauteng today. The failure was at around 04h00 this morning and seems to be affecting Rosebank, Bramley and possibly several other exchanges in the area. We have been in communication with Telkom about this and the fault is being tracked on our network notices page.

Don't know about you guys but I'm getting great speeds this afternoon.
P2P seems to be soft-shaped at 140kb/s right now over 4mb line.

If the speeds remain like this during shaping hours I'd very one very happy mweb client!
 
things are flying here!!! Full speed on 4Mbps. Hope its the end of the all the problems and things will be even better after the upgrade tonight!

certainly seems to have picked up. http DL's appear to be throttled at a similar rate to torrents.
 
Speeds have seemed to pick up ~390kb/s on 4meg using usenet. Latencies though still seem to be very bad
 
News.mweb.co.za is as slow as a bluetooth connection... can someone connect that piece of equipment with a proper cable please?
 
reckon i might have to get rid of that cancellation form..... line maxed out :p
 
Howzit, well MWEB i'm sold once again. Speeds today have been super! If you can keep it like this I'm sure the confidence will return, it is definitely on the mend for me! Keep it up, and best of luck with the upgrades this evening.
 
HTTP and torrents are definately still dead though.

Downloading windows 7 codecs is going at under 10kb.

Torrents... not moving.

Maybe you should try setting your dns to auto detect and reset your router?
Sounds like a local problem on your setup. Never had a problem with http on mweb, torrents yes but that's all sorted now.

Also, which torrent client are you using? Try vuze with network encryption on.
 
Still getting 170kb/s on torrents.
It went down to 10kb/s justnow but that was because the torrent download in question's tracker went down. (isohunt)

I added another download to the mix and its back up to 170kb/s.

http maxing on my side, along with most people i know who are on mweb.
