Various sources - latest attempts have been from one of the many available on the mede8er Internet Radio which seems to be 64 or 128.

Cancelled my subscription. Can't handle the average of 6kbs download speed. Took me five days to get the cs5 trial image. Switched to Openweb. Its cheaper and better.

What do you guys get from the Saix speed test linked on the Telkom site? I get 236kilobits/s

I get 3.6MB on the Speedtest.net to London - anywhere else I get below 512KB/s

News.mweb died for me for a bit, tried Mweb bot's (MwebOps ) funny IP address thingy (didn't work) then back to news.mweb and it's working... bury myself in wood (every time I say it works it stops...)

MWeb news is never down for me.. yes it is very slow.. but always seems to work... (I am really touching wood now).

But I perfer to use the international providers as they always up and in general much faster than mweb news.

This morning.. I was running at full speed from astraweb...

I haven't checked my PC since yesterday, but this is what I get from MWEB's site... looks promising. I'm a bit confused as to why the SENT data is so high.

I worked out an average speed of 177KB/s yesterday - which is not bad considering what I've had the previous couple of weeks... maybe its my turn in round robin.

anyone else have multiple disconnects during the weekend ? i swear my line disconnected about 20 times on saturday alone ! i did put in a new router and a new splitter so that could be a cause as well but not sure ...

a cheap d-link one ... i was desperate

also had to put in a add on card for the lan port, the one on my mobo seems to be blown
