Hi MegasXLR,

Please power down your router for 20 min and restart your PC please.

Kind regards,

MWEB Guy

I have done it and never restarted the news server software until an hour ago, It was OK but now I am back on 20KB/s. Should I reboot the router now every 20 minutes for 20 minutes? this is not working for me at all.

So why haven't they complied with the ruling yet. Their web page still remains unaltered.

The ASA requires that the ruling be adhered to within a certain period (30 days I think). I presume that if MWEB is challenging the ruling, it will be set aside until the challenge is addressed. You can stop licking your lips and drooling in anticipation for now.

i got a similar problem ... have to reboot the router every couple of minutes or i have no access to anything ... this is truly ridiculous .... surely mweb have at least 1 competent technician?? this has been going on now for over a week at least with intermittent/disrupted service from mweb ... by now they must know what the problem is and how to fix it.... I just signed up with them and I am not at all impressed .... if this continues for much longer .. will have to cancel

Please guys there is another thread for this ASA ruling about Mweb advertising. You all know it as I read your posts there. Get this discussion back on topic.

news servers have gone down the drain again! getting 50KB/s on a 4meg uncapped (Paid astraweb and mweb servers)

I upgrade my line from 384 to 1meg and my mweb uncapped account on Friday was great untill today. Slower than my 384 connection was.

Is there any issues that I'm not aware of. I have rebooted my router a few times and turned it off. But still the problem presist.

Hi Nixul,

Please PM me your Mweb account details and I will look into it from our side.

MWEB Guy

If I don't change my DNS as per the the thread comments (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4) I can't access any webpages?

Still getting slow response and now the weekend is over and it is back to work 2morow :-(

There was a posting a while back from the MWEB Facebook page which indicated that they are considering challenging the ASA ruling. I'm not sure what useful statement they could put out at the moment, except to say that they have noted the ASA ruling and that they are in consultation with their legal team regarding the next steps. Certainly, removing "uncapped" from all advertising is a dramatic step, as is being discussed in this thread.

I did look for the alleged reply on face book at http://www.facebook.com/MWEB, but failed to find it. Is that the correct address ?

Yup, news server is well... not like it used to be. My guess it is now shaped with their new toy.

Then it's shaped to hell. I really do not know why I pay so much for no value any more. Time to take flight?

It's been a week, and still their are speed and latency issues. The sad thing is we are not getting what we pay for, and thus Mweb still expect as to pay full price! Mweb seriously needs to sort their **** out, it's been to long. I think there are genuine frustration settling in amongst mweb subscribers and I won't be surprised if many of them jump ship.
