So we must take it to a private room so new customers can see it... and Yes I can see your point of swearing at poor Will in this case as he seems to want to help... but someone feeling sorry for Will still does not justify others getting bad service from MWEB... saying F MWEB is not pointed a Will and should not be it should be at the Group as a whole. If I saw these posts (and yes I was browsing MyBB extensively; I would not have gotten MWEB UNSHAPED UNCAPPED from them and saved me allot of time and trouble... but when I signed the general feeling towards MWEB was ... AWESOMENESS...)

Lets take your route for example... My 1st reaction was to go to MWEB with my problems... a "specialist" contacted me said he would sort me out... point of the story he tried he failed and nothing was done. My last conversation with him went something along the lines of...
Me: I see allot of people are complaining about my issue, is this a big issue at the moment for everyone.
Consultant: Yes
Me: So is this currently being looked into by the MWEB techs...
Consultant: Yes we are currently investigating the issue
Me: Ok then I guess it is futile for me to waste your time further, we already confirmed that it is the same issue
....
And we ended the call that is... now 3weeks +-ago if I am not mistaken.
I know of a more MWEB wow players who also find it unusable... still no change?

Still feeling you would prefer if we shut-up and sit in a corner? And yes people loose there cool if they are being screwed over... its part of being support. A company who retracts one of its "service areas" due to unhappy customers is a REALLY REALLY bad company no matter how bad MWEB Support are treated. The Support team would not have been in this situation if the tech team were doing their job well... After working for most banks and working for... places like Eskom its easy to see the difference.

Tomorrow or wherever Mweb responses in this thread seize and then the reason for this thread's existence is gone or we get no more responses from Will and Mwebguy, please do not cry. As I said exactly the same happened with other ISP's (Where CEO's gave feedback) just because of a few ill mannered individuals and their support on this forum went "poof"

Then where will the idiots cry as they then gained nothing.

So carry on and we see how long this service will last. Don't "F" it up for the rest of us. Please mind your manners and show respect and be thankful for this forum service.

If you are not happy, just say so with your reasons and then leave, move on to another ISP with better service.

+1 They won't stop Megas, the typical South-African consumer mentality comes to play here. Whine whine whine until you either get told to gtfo or the people that helped you the most leaves and you sit worse off than before. In turn ruining it for those that actually try help better the service by providing helpful feedback. MyBB has become very negative as a whole and I for one am enjoying the forum less each day. Constant bickering and arguing in the most childish ways, not to mention the hypocrisy of some is pathetic imho. Reminds me of our government...

You should expand that sentence to read "Typical South-African consumer mentality due to typical South-African service..." :sick:
 
atm Will and Mwebguy responses don't really make a diff with my situation and seems for most of the other posters in this thread aswell - so won't bother me if it goes "poof" - I would have phone the customer service more to complain but not making MWEB richer by phoning a 086 number to stay on the line for 10 min + to be helped.

Who really gets more that 1gb of email a month? maybe 2gb of browsing? or more than 1gb of updates?
So in reality all of our moaning is not gonna change much. They decided to shape the accounts to hell and back and there is nothing we can do.
Last night mweb asked me to do a speedtest and i only managed 12KB/s and they said "there is nothing wrong - that is pefectly normal"

I hear what you are saying, just wierd that everything was fine for the past year and now this, getting worst by the day.
 
On my 4 meg line. Not even getting 300 KB/s download. 100% on other accounts. MWEB say they will phone me tomorrow. WTF? Last night started to loose connectivity. Then line just went slow. It looks like I'm being throttled. Why must I wait? Why can't it be sorted. My line has been running with no speed issues for months. This really makes me irritated now.
 
All I can say is, PLEASE STOP SHAPING THE GODDAMN WOW PORTS. Its the most irritating thing that I cant play properly during the day or even at night time before 1 am. Only after 1 am does my latency drop to playable levels. It never used to be like this. WoW uses maybe 250mb a night if raiding and using ventrilo, its not like im a goddamn bandwidth hog. There is enough WoW players in this country using Mweb Uncapped for you to seriously consider not shaping port 3724TCP which is what WoW uses. I understand your reasoning for shaping P2P but why the F would you shape WoW ports? It USES NEXT TO NO BANDWIDTH! Please help your WoW players using your service, it would be much appreciated. Currently I am getting a totally unstable unreliable ping between the range of 300-400ms WITH packet loss. So your shaping is even causing lost packets? Best shaping program in the world! Please fix this.

P.s I had a 189 ms ping to WoW last night with mweb at 2:30 am. It is possible, just do it please.

Hi Zord, wow traffic has a high assurance level on our network and is not shaped, 300-400 ms is not outside of acceptable ranges depending on your connection quality etc, however the packetloss is obviously of concern. Is it possible that you can compare your latency and packetloss on local ping tests at the times of day when your wow is fine and when you are having a problem. I'd like to see the difference.

This is getting out of hand now its been more than a week now since i send MWEB Guy my details, and step by step what my problem is connecting to Call of Duty Black Ops (cant connect to Black Ops servers, that is getting host by Mweb)
Atm i got my self Afrihost Prepaid acc just to play my weekly league games.
I have even asked for Update from MWeb Guy i just dont get any support from mweb ?
Why am i paying for Uncapped Mweb Adsl if i have to go to other isp for better services ?

IRG I apologize for not replying to your PM last week a lot of general complaints were coming in and I assumed that yours formed part of the crowd. Please understand this is why it's so important to give us all of the facts when you are raising an issue. Nelis you experienced this problem last night while Seacom was down and we assumed that was the reason. The fact that you're able to pick the servers up from another network was not fully explained to me up until now and I will make sure it gets looked at immediately.
 
Is anyone else also having problems connecting. Router is syncing but no Internet. It was working fine until 15 min ago. Lenasia area.

Are you still experiencing this problem? I called our gamemaster before leaving the office and he had no issues with the server list. I've just arrived home and launched mine now and the list populates immediately.

Same here in Parkview. Mweb support number engaged so I guess it's on their side. Anyone else?
 
don't know if this will help. I can play BLack ops just fine for like 1 map then the server disconnects. telling me game session no longer available

Spoke to an agent at Mweb. They are down in parts of Joburg. They are investigating. No timeframe given. Sorry can't help you with the password.

Thanks for the feedback. So do I sit and watch my router for the rest of the night? Since I am on the all inclusive package from mweb, can I get an account from another ISP for situations like these?

Posted more on the MWEB - Gaming thread... I am now quite annoyed with our service.... Its all fine and dandy to have you say you can see the server list, but in reality, for those of us who play daily. There is an issue. And its common by reading posts here about it...
