Fair enough, we can expect that once in a while. But those who know our lines are fine (as proof in vid cap of conection with afrihost). We know there to be another issue...

I am unable to see the servers, yet I am running BlackTomato Mod for my server no prob (well not 100% as it times out from time to time - can see that from the log)

I have no problems with the shaping on the account, my torrents work as should be expected (alltho I have not downloaded anything in a while) and HTTP works fine. I Always make sure that any P2P software is completely off when gaming. I only use the built in firewall for Win7 X 64 and MSE. I also make sure that my mail client is closed. My Ping / speed / latency on Pingtest is fine.

Like I said IRG I'm not disputing the fact that you guys are experiencing a problem, you have no reason to make these things up - just like I really have no good reason to lie about the fact that I can't replicate the fault...

While I'm waiting for the youtube uploads to complete can I get a sound off on 2 issues please: Where are those of you experiencing a problem located geographically and what DNS settings are you using?

In Gauteng (Midrand)
At first i was using 196.43.34.190 and 196.43.46.190
But then i couldnt connect to the internet at all about 1 to 2 months ago (have used those settings ever since I got my mweb line)
After I couldnt connect, I called mweb helpline and the technician told me they were busy on the line and that I must just switch off my router (as well as saying the were no alternative DNS settings i could use in the meanwhile)
So i used the internet on my BlackBerry to google some other DNS settings and found my current settings...
My current DNS settings is 196.28.80.140 & 196.28.80.139 which was working great till the 3rd May.

This is not my area of expertise, so beat me gently, but should I receive a Gateway add from Mweb?
See below taken from an ipconfig...

PPP adapter Mweb:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . :
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0

Well... your team has its work cut out for them ... try figure it out. Then when its fixed, join in a game with us so we can shoot yo a$$ ;)

I'll rattle as many cages as I can tomorrow to try and get some understanding as to what could be causing this for you guys - so far I don't see anyone in Cape Town complaining as hereticangel mentioned so for now this to me is the common denominator - my best guess at the moment is that there is some sort of routing issue between our Seacom links and Treyarch thats preventing you from retrieving the master list and updating stats. Nelis those ping tests tell me that your line is still broken though, I can't try and help you fix it until you believe me - up to you now :p

And I think I'll pass on the game joining - you'll see why on the next vid - this is really not my game - take me back to Bad Company please :D

will can you maybe make a video for us from starting the game up from desktop to server browser.

Also can you please give us your router setup like all your settings except for username and password of course.

plesae pm me reason why my link is still broken with the new ping I sent you. I agree maybe cause you are in capetown thats why black ops is working fine. Maybe just our JHB users

so with all these posts, am i to understand that quite a few people have problems with Black Ops and news servers? just asking cause i still can't download any p2p (torrent or nzb) for quite a few days now :(

That clip was taking from a desktop launch - the only thing you didnt see was my Arsenal wallpaper and me hitting F9 to start recording.

My router setup is completely boring Nelis. I have a Billion 7401VGP with an unlocked firmware running in half-bridge mode (for when I occassionally test other accounts), DNS is set to auto and the only settings that arent factory default are the wifi security.

Slow Mweb

Hi there

My Mweb connection is crawling.

Mweb Uncapped 4Mb line
DNS: 196.28.182.20 & 196.28.75.220
Area: Newlands, Cape Town

edit: it seems that I may be experiencing slow speed across ISPs. I'll have to give Telkom a ring :(

@DurbanMonkey
My P2P seems to behave as normal (for me at least) ... I barely ever get over 100kb/s. Testing now, running between 80 & 90....
