Ok Mweb guy, sent you PM. Son now isolated from network. Has new IP been allocated or must I reboot again. Speeds don't seem to have changed much! What does your test show? Thanks

I've turned my router off for times too, no change. So some ppl getting decent speeds and others getting dialup speeds. That kinda makes matters even worse, not even equal services.

Hey all,
So whats the solution on Mweb and news servers cause they seem to be shaping me into next year, was cool for first 6 months but now getting 70 kbps max.

Will and Mwebguy, you have read our posts. All we want is a statement that these speeds on NNTP will be the normal speeds from now on so ppl who read this thread dont waste a few more months waiting for a fix. A post so we can quote it if someone asks about it. Come on, if you dont let ppl know that this will be the normal expected NNTP speeds from now on you are literally stealing from people. Withholding information that might make some ppl cancel their subs.

I would like to see an answer on this please.... I have to decide if it is wothwhile joining mweb.....

So your saying its done? Your saying no more info from NNTP stuff will come out and that this is the speeds will will most likely experience for the forseeable future on mweb? Please reply to this question, so other people can see that their speeds on NNTP most likely wont go up again. That way they can stop waiting for a fix while forking over their money to mweb.

Btw, site your downloading from ? Rofl. Um, what about slow browsing on www.mweb.co.za ? Or mybb. What you saying? That there is nothing wrong with the connection of the ppl complaining about slow browsing even?

So, i asked Will to please just admit to everyone here that their NNTP wont get better again, cause as far as i have seen this discussion is done. Then he ignored me and all of you are ignoring the posts. So, why not just admit it to people waiting for a final answer.

NNTP going full speed on my side...

Looking at all your ranting and nerd rage posting. I'm gladly adding you to my ignore list. Nothing constructive to read.

NNTP going at 8kb/s on my side and apparently thats normal. For more than a week now. Most likely wont change cause thats their shaping rules they told me. So its not even everyone they giving some customers full speeds and other 8kb/s. Guess thats even worse.

And Willie, if your having no complaints, why make your 3rd post here? Kinda smells fishy.

Please state if you have no complaints which news server your using, cause everything i have tried goes slow.

Well then move to another isp then? At least you wont be spamming this thread with your bickering and whining that you can't pirate fast enough.

Any update to the CoD - Black Ops Connecting problems ?

I get similar speeds, I have restarted my router on numerous occasions. After the restart, speeds go up to 200+KB/s for a couple of seconds and then drop to dialup speeds. I would just like to know, what happened from last week Tuesday to today? Why was NNTP great and now not? Is this the expected norm now?

Lol nah, this is much more fun. I dont like injustice. I like calling people on their bs. This is perfect for me. Guess your not gonna say the server your using. U know why, cause its newsdemon with port 80. Mweb, if you wanna catch someone abusing check J0n0's account. You will see him abusing, which apparently is against your TOS. Yarrdi harrr harrrr

I use the mweb news server and Will has my account details. :)

You mean you like trolling basically...That's all what your posts are worth really. You must be a kid, I can't see an adult being so childish. :erm:

@Mweb GUY
just to let you know, after your pm I decided to setup another isp account on my router and test, I got the same results, extremely slow browsing.
That indicated to me a Telkom problem, so I also tried using Telkom guess account and opened www.Telkom.co.za, which was also very slow.
I phoned Telkom support, and the Telkom tech told me that there did seem to be a problem with the Telkom DSLAM. I am now waiting for feedback fromTelkom on when it will be fixed

My name is Wessel Minnie, im 28 years old. I live at 23 Muller Street, Despatch. So no, im not trolling.
Well why would will tell me that 8kb/s is normal if he knows your getting full speed? Im not trolling, im pointing out an injustice. Im asking them to be honest with their customers. The fact that im having fun calling ppl on their BS isnt really trolling. Btw thought u ignored me.

Edit: The fact of the matter is, there can only be 2 explanations here. Either your lying and trolling me about the mweb news server and your speeds or mweb isnt equally distributing their bandwith. Some ppl get max speed others get dialup. Any logical person would agree that this is the only 2 options, so which one is it?

We are looking into this, I was able to replicate your speed test results form our test bench. I will provide you feedback as soon as I can.

Kind regards, MWEB Guy

Thank you. Will be waiting for the reply.

Or the problem in your case resides between the keyboard and chair.
