Well good for you you're an adult behaving like a child on a forum. Your posts are nothing constructive and you provide ZERO information about your connection, latency etc. Instead you whine and call it "injustice" because you're getting slow speeds and others are getting acceptable speeds. Will does not check my speed nor can he...duh. I also do not use NNTP 24/7 because I work and have better things to do than "downloadz da intewerbz". You continually post on both this thread and the gaming thread with posts like below.

Thanks MWEB Guy, one of my friends who was just here indicated if 2 PCs are using the same connection via router you will get a slower speed and suggested that I install some software that will only allow the boy access after 8pm or something! Many thanks for your patience and help. Really is appreciated. KATA (Keep a tight arse)

Im gonna feed you with an answer only this once. There are more ppl than just me having the same issue. I have gotten my line tested multiple times. Its not a PC setting cause the free gig from afrihost is going full speed on anything. Its mweb, nice try whoever you are making a new account and posting here. You are truly an internet hero.

Gotta warn people that they wont get a fix anytime soon J0n0. Trying to help people so they wont waste their time. How do you know i havent given information on my connection/latency etc. I did, multiple times, but cant really paste PM's anymore cause its not legal on these forums. Your post is also full of assumptions. Sadly. All your posts are is flaming/insulting me. So i guess its the same thing.

Oh yeh, why do you think its not intelligent posting personal information on a public forum, not as if you or anyone else can do anything at all to me. Anyone want my phone number ?

don't you think the people here are tired of threading, where's the answers, has anyone who has had a problem with news servers been sorted?

When I joined I was told by a mweb rep that the best package for downloading from overseas from a news server would be shaped uncapped, that the speeds pick up off peak and thats what I got for 6 months and now the story is changing maxing at 8 kbps.

I phoned Telkom to follow up on when my line will be fixed, BIG surprise no fault had been logged on my line by the previous tech i spoke to, even though she assured me that she is doing that as we speak. I had to go through the whole process of logging a fault with Telkom again, this time I insisted on getting a reference number, so it seems that Telkom will only now start investigating my problem. Will keep you updated when/if it gets sorted out.
 
Telkom, I think we all have stories about them. Last time I logged a call with them, they canceled the call all by themselves. I phoned them the next day to inquire when they will be fixing the problem and they told me the problem has been resolved already and has been canceled. That got me really angry as of course the problem was not resolved and they have not even been out to the premises. A week later the problem was fixed after many a phone call.
 
P2P on a unshaped account is on Zero download 7 up for most of the day.

To remedy the situation I have got a test account from OpenWeb.


I will be testing the account which is also an unshaped account.

I will let you know how it goes as Telkom can find no fault on my line.

UPDATE 17:09
eMule went from zero down to 12 down after putting in the new user details and stopping and starting the eMule client.

Its now on 20 couple mins later will post back in an hours time after its settled down.

Well that's answered my question.

Mweb has broken the interwebz.

Openweb now has a new client from June

Are you 100% sure the free gig is the same account type? Uncapped and Unshaped? Just asking.
