yeah, last few months ive barely used my mweb account (17gb usage) , its more frustrating than anything else, on and off though. and no info on Mweb Network Status page, and several CAS tickets have been opened and no responses yet (Jhb Area)
Afrihost and web africa accounts are running smoothly
thanks for keeping up the PR and stuff MwebGuy, but maybe you arent 100% in the loop with your team?
we are all willing to assist to help test and troubleshoot etc to get this issue resolved and the mweb experience back to what it used to be in 2010

You maybe think he would read the posts first, find out what's happening and THEN post about it? Since obviously MwebGuy has never posted anything about network issues in this thread, OH wait, he has.

Hi AhmedH,
Have you tried refreshing your connection by rebooting the router? Have you tried browsing without doing torrents running at the same time and see if it's the same?

Is the 12kb/s speed on torrents, P2P or NNTP?
Anyone who has a shaped account will fall under our dynamic shaping policy. Which means your speeds will fluctuate.
Is there anything running in the background and how many PC's are connected to the router while you connected?
I have asked our network administrators if there is any wrong on our network and they have said, there is currently no reported outage on our network.

Sorry mr mweb guy i don't buy this up and down stuff.
My account has been running like a gem for many months, the last week or so at about 17:00 the internet drops off a cliff, it feels like i am running nzb's at full speed, you know when you are maxing your line and trying to surf? Yet there is nothing running but my browser.
Something is very wrong. I can barely load youtube vids tonight.
