Well it would certainly be one possible solution if you were experiencing a power related problem that was causing your router to lose sync. I have seen routers behave very erratically and struggle to sync due to being under powered, often caused by faulty/incorrect AC adapters, or an overloaded multiplug.
It still doesn't eliminate the possibility of electrical interference caused by, for example, an overhead phone line running too close to an electric fence - which is not an uncommon scenario in Gauteng, but those are factors that are certainly on the more rare end of the scale.
If you are having a strange problem like losing sync at the same time every day it's certainly worth considering all of these options as this is a low level connectivity issue that could not be caused by something on the MWEB network (as much fun as it is to blame us for everything)
haha i was just poking fun at the idea of a street lamps disturbing the interwebs! but i must say! I have seen a drop in the speeds of internatoinal torrents, but my usage over the past month was the same as the peroid from 01/11 to 04/11 (been keeping it above 200gigs except for 05/11) so where normaly i could just en queue what i wanted to watch in an half hour or so and be done with it, I now have to en queue and let it run thought the golden time period form 00:00 - 06:00
At the end of the day I still move the same amount of data per month but its just not fun bragging to my friends that i now only get 460kB/s after 12 where i used to make them drool because it was after 6 pm
