MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Had an issue a little earlier with my line.
When doing a ping to say google.co.za or yahoo.co.za it would lose around 50-60% of the packets.

I thought it might have been a Mweb network issue so I left it and came to the forum site.
Since I didn't see anything official I figured I would mention this for people possibly having this issue.
I just changed my account name to mweb.co.za instead of dslmweb.co.za I am not sure if my router just needed another kick or if it was indeed a account related issue but after this change everything seemed to clear up.

I am not saying that this will solve your problem Tokashi but since it sounds like your having the same kind of issues i.e. web pages not opening and Wow/Eve only connecting and disconnecting the whole time that it sounds the same as mine.

Hope it does solve your issue and you can go out and game online once again!

p.s. for the horde :)

Hello, what is the Fair Usage Policy from MWEB regarding 384kbps as well as 1048 kbps uncapped packages, does anybody know?

Well well, can you believe it. It works!! ;-)

Thanks for the help

Really... getting ping spikes to everywhere.. Even your own website mweb.

I got an average of +-300ms to Google on Mweb, switch to Afrihost and get 36ms average.

Good Afternoon Dasco, are you perhaps running any downloads in the back ground?

Also I noticed that your 4meg line is syncing at 2meg.

Grrrr... 8200 ms pings in WoW. Terrible browsing response. *headdesk*

Afternoon TheYak, please advise if you encounter the same problem with WoW; if you have no other traffic in the back ground.

HTTP download from secure.wtfast.com running at a blistering 5.6k/s! Yay broadband!

Correction: 3.8k/s...

yeah because a screenshot showing exactly what the person typed in this thread is any different.

and give me a break, if you guys actually passed on all the data we provide for you (which we shouldnt really as its not for us to do), stuff would be working now.

MWEB Guy, as I said, pings were 8200. I get constant time outs and disconnections now as well. Can't actually play. You won't get much more than that from a screen shot.

And browsing is very slow as well. Has been the whole weekend. I actually sent you guys a private message a couple of days ago. Never got an answer.

PS: I tried to load up Speedtest.net now to get some test data. It wouldn't load properly. Grk.

LOL, It's crazy and Mweb seems to be clueless about this. Playing KZ3 the last few days I experienced bad lag at stages. You will kill an opponent with a Melee attack cutting his throat, he falls down and immediately pops back up just standing there. I watch as more guys do the same with the same effect, then the game continue or crash out with a network related error. Whether it is Mweb or just International is unclear at this stage, but it makes for good laughs and frustrations.

After a few hours of no lag, it all came back. Download speed is 100kb/s and disconnections.

BUT if I use a telkom account, then there is NO LAG, NO DISCONNECTIONS and download speed is 450kb/s +

Sigh, I am getting tired of this really. Mweb should stop advertising "super fast internet", we should report this because it is false advertising....

Nothing runs in the background, my router is fine, I have asked telkom to reset my line.

I have done everything from my side to solve the problem.

Evening Tokashi, please provide me your MWEB email address?
