people are more likely to complain when things go wrong than to compliment when things are right. think about it.

Of course BUT, check how many posts have been up for May/june compared to March/April. From the first of May many many many more people are complaining.

Wasn't that when they started that special where you 2 months free off your 6 month contract?......

For the last 2 weeks my connection has been up to ****...I have my line and ADSL with mweb. 4mb uncapped...Haven't been able to get speeds over 15kbs and even with the low speeds my http downloads keep dropping...

I've been happy with them up until now, now I'm just another of the rage kiddies...

Edit : Just want to add more on what I can't do anymore...

1. Can't download, these speeds are ridiculous and keep dropping
2. Can't watch YouTube, well I can, but having to wait +30min for a 5min video to buffer is lame
3. Can't game online with the skill I normally show because of the lag
4. I can browse but it's not an enjoyable experience

I've been a Mweb customer since they bought netactive, so I'm a huge supporter, just not happy at the moment...

Hi iPirate,

Please can you PM me your MWEB account details so that I can looking into why you are experiencing slow speeds.

Regards,
MWEB Guy

Speeds showing a slight improvement but still really far from 4MB... sitting at 30 to 50KB/s on a normal HTTP download. M-Web guy, are you still looking into my issue? I haven't heard back from you :)

Just some feedback.... again running between 30 - 70kbs... buffering on youtube and the timing out issue still happening. However, some ungodly hour it belts down at 380kbs -420kbs ... so if there really was something wrong with my line, then it certainly won't do that. This is Mweb, and only Mweb's doing that its going this slow. Sent my cancellation, heard nothing from them. considering going to the bank as i am considering stopping Mweb from billing me - will not pay them for this horrible speeds!.

Mweb Guy - Thank you for helping, I realise you're here to help, but I also understand that you're not in control of that magical button to make these problems go away as this is clearly bad policy at Mweb and Mweb's will to throttle everybody to death!, and I will no longer be part of this shocking service. I had an interesting chat with our IT manager at work today. We use Mweb business and have had endless problems with our speeds at work... I told our IT guy of what I've read on another thread about speeds on Mweb business and told him to look into that instead of harrassing Telkom - appears its Mweb aswell!...

So there you have it. Gonna put up with this S#it for a while longer to consider my options and will move over to openweb.

I'm certainly not going to hold my breath for the Durban IPC which will apparently help... clearly it won't if Mweb is shaping everything ti s#it!.

Nuff said.

Hi Donovan and LabAnimal,

I have responded via PM to you with regards to your query.

Regards,
MWEB Guy

the only difference I'm experiencing tonight, is that I can browse while my torrents are running.... not fast, but i haven't had to refresh in the past hour or so... gonna switch to my SAOL account tomorrow so i can get some work done. The whole problem is, just when you think its better, and you're happy, it goes slow again... it just doesn't last, and I've made up my mind... Hats off to the rest who puts up with this.

Sorry MWEB, but this is a fail.

or are you talking about that they mention firefox and mozilla as 2 different browsers :P

Both :) And nevermind those who do not use Microsoft OSs and/or Apple.

I cant friggin download anything or surf properly as well. Speeds and connectivity are all over the show. I switch over to my IS account and wow, everything works @ 8Mb/s.
Maybe this is an experiment to see how many customers MWEB can get rid off in the shortest amount of time. My business is going somewhere else as well if MWEB cannot provide some decent service. MWEB representative, do something, even if it to admit you cannot provide the service we are looking for and to let us know to go somewhere else.
