have been having a great month so far :) getting full 420KB/s downloads on a daily basis
 
Trying to download a file from Gmail (email attachment) going at a marvelous 108 b/s... 45 min for a 3meg foto.

Any reason for NNTP being shaped to 0 kB today (with the odd 20kB spike) ? Worst I've ever seen on Mweb uncapped. What's up with that ?

Network load cannot be that bad that your deep packet shaping technology has to lay the smack down on all NNTP traffic. Surely.

shaping has been a little more worse than normal today....

Properly something to do with the Seacom maintenance..... I thought there was sufficient bandwidth to ensure our service remains unchanged.

.. but there seems not to be

Ahh. Seacom maintenance. Forgot about that. Guess the deep packet shaper is going extra deep at the moment :)
 
Seems Mweb has been experiencing problems with Mail this evening. Still waiting the authentication problems to be fixed. Some mailboxes working others not yet. NOT FUNNY!!

Our engineers are working on this, unfortunately I do not have an ETA on the resolution.

Hey Mweb Guy,

Why are all my downloads going at normal speed, but Justin.TV is literally unwatchable, even at 240p?

Is it shaping? Tried resetting my router, but it doesn't seem to work.

Good Morning John_Mongrel, please advise if Justin.Tv performs better on other occassions. Also please provide me a tracert, a ping and a continuous ping to the site.

I can confirm this issue with justin.tv and youtube.com. It has always worked for me at least on 360p but since yesterday youtube is slow and justin.tv buffers every second so streaming is dead...

Please advise if this issue occurs only certain times during the day or all day.
If so, between what time during the day is it problematic.

I am having trouble with YouTube vids the past couple of days (the progress bar starts loading but no video plays). I would like to attribute this to SEACOM maintenance but wouldn't mind a bit of investigation as a few people seem to be complaining and nothing of SEACOM is mentioned.
