Mweb Guy, you said you would investigate the timeouts. Remember? Whats happening to that? Was fine the whole weekend and just got it again now.
Other ISP's might not throttle one so badly but their base speeds are much worse. I did some ISP hopping last year where most ISPs (Openweb, Afrihost, Imagine) with uncapped service provided such low speeds one could not even stream music consistently. And I don't even download.
I went to Mweb and for a while they were stable speeds but lately the service has been up and down allot. It's as if they have gotten too many subscribers for their capacity. During office hours it's stable but slow. After office hours they start to crawl where you get allot of timing out.
I am in the same boat as you. I am starting to think I should leave Mweb but what other ISP would be able to provide a stable connection?
Busy downloading some software I need for uni using chrome: "470 B/s - 423 kB of 997 MB, 25 days left"
Do not use Chrome, the download manager is pathetic. Rather get something like flashget or a download manager that you can pause. With the unreliable connections and timeouts with mweb you will go mad if it lose connection...

Mweb DNS down? I can't access any sites with my mweb account - currently using WA.
Any news on my account query?
Hi acidrain,
I have not yet received an update on your query.
I have now followed up on this matter again for you and await feedback from the relevant persons.
As soon as I receive any feedback I will update you.
Kind regards,
MWEB Guy
Thanks
Edit: One of your agents just gave me a call. Everything is sorted out. Thanks again
Do what I did and dump them. While you're still sane.
