MWEB Uncapped Subscribers Feedback

Having problems again, browsing slow, can't even connect to speedtest and disconnected from BF2 again. This is getting old very fast.

OMFS just look at these wonderful speed I now get on my 4mbps line. WTF are you doing Mweb? Fix it ASAP and refund me for the downtime.

Hi,

I would advise you to contact Telkom and have them re-create you port. I have checked you account, everything is fine and there are no reported issues in your area. Please keep updated once the re-create has been done and tested thereafter.

Regards,
MWEB Guy

Hi Tokashi,

Has streaming improved for you? Is it only streaming that is slow?

Regards,
MWEB Guy

Streaming, downloading and gaming was bad this morning. I am not doing anything now so I cannot test it but it was VERY bad this morning.

Hi Sillicur

We cannot provide you with any additional feedback on the issues you are reporting without sufficient troubleshooting data. The syntax of the pathping command is very straight forward.

cmdprompt> pathping bbc.co.uk for example is all that would be required and then allow the test to complete fully (it takes longer than a normal tracert). As you are claiming that the problem is specific to your MWEB account please provide comparative results between your MWEB account and alternative provider and if there is a clear indication that the packetloss you are experiencing is on the MWEB portion of the route I will have it investigated.

Also please do not make use of tests to Blizzard servers as Blizzard block ICMP traffic on the last portion of the route and you will not get any valid results.

If you cannot provide this information then I'm afraid there is nothing further that we can respond on.

Kind Regards
Will

So here is your proof, everything you asked for and everything you should have done. Guess now you will blame something else? If you blame something like street lights now I will go crazy, just FYI. If you cannot help me here with this after i have struggled to catch it and basically sat here for hours on end doing your job, i would like to have the phone number of your superior.

There can be no doubt now that i have supplied you with all the information you requested. Comparison results show afrihost not timing out while Mweb has packet loss on just about every hop. Same router, same pc, same telkom line. I have also contacted telkom earlier this week and they assured me that my line is fine. I will keep re-posting this every 12 hours round about so everyone can see it that comes to this thread until I get a response and this is fixed.

You have had a pretty bad tone in your messages, "chasing shadows" etc. Just want to point this out to the general public also.

Mweb Guy u do realize i can see you are online right? 38 minutes have passed while u were online and you chose not to respond to the data your people have been requesting over and over, just showing even more incompetence.

Evening Director, please advise what you are downloading?

Director we do not gaurantee torrent speeds.

this I understand, however as I said it only started on friday. My speed was averaging 30kb/s before that. I dont mind being throttled But is it a network problem or something on my side? have others also being having this issue?

Kind Regards

Not a network issue, torrents is not given a high priority on our network. Your experience with torrents will therefore vary.
