On top of this specifc pages(http://www.fileserve.com/upload-file.php & http://www.fileserve.com/remote-upload.php) on fileserve do not load, as far as I am concerned that can only happen if those specific urls are blocked.

I would like to know this too. A new policy is obviously in place, and I think we should be advised.
I do not download on weekdays, but I would like to schedule my downloads for later that night. Fileserver does not even respond!
 
This is getting rediculous. I joined MWEB a week ago again after having issues with other ISP's. Offcourse I do download stuff now and then from the Internet,but not even able to connect to some websites or my companies Intranet during day time is unacceptable. Trying to connect to Speedtest.net also time out. Using my backup account ,I have no problems. At this rate I will be cancelling my subscription to MWEB again today.
 
Thanks Sillicur that was exactly the information I needed. I have some ideas as to why you might be experiencing this, however I would like to discuss this with some of my colleagues before I pass comment. Please could you give some time to do this.

Hi guys,

Just to confirm, the maintenance that was done by fileserve.com hasn't rectified this. It is only these 2 links that doesn't want to open.

Fileserve downloads worked on the weekend, as did those 2 links....

I am afraid you are wrong. I have been to numerous websites, clicked on a download link on Fileserve and it does not resolve. Just sits there.
Filesonic seems to be working right now on MWeb, and Fileserve works on Afrihost and CellC just fine.

Open filestube.com, search for anything on Fileserve and see if you can download it.

Something on your network, and your network alone has changed in the last week. Just be nice to know if this is a mistake on your side, or if this is a new policy.

Hi Kromoz

I'm not aware of any change that would have caused this, however I've asked our engineers to investigate this thoroughly and I will post an update as soon as I have some feedback.

I have also been experiencing slow speeds (timeouts) on filesonic and fileserve from the 19th to the 20th.But things began to pick up around about 9pm on the 20th.However the speeds I have been getting(200kb-300kb) is not what I'm used to(450kb+) after hours.Mweb gave me the usual line of speeds wil vary and are not guaranteed on filehosts and torrents but i don't buy it.Its been fine for months but now suddenly its slower?

i have a test shaped account from Afrihost which gives me full speed after hours.Downloading from software from filehippo using my Mweb account runs at full speeds so NO its not Telkom.
 
Just want to tell Mweb you guys rock havent had any problems in MONTHS! You guys rock! even my torrents average at 200Kb/s which is a moerse plus for me :) Thanks for the service

Yup I will give you some time. I just dont want to wait 3-4 weeks and then get told there is nothing you can do.

Still my black ops is having issues during the day getting ping of 80 - 100+ ms. Don't tell me it's my line cause why after hours or when shaping is less my pin is 22ms. this is the server I play on bu t any server same issue

I called the premier department and they did yold me to reset the port so we didi it and did a reset on my router for 30sec and still same issue. We have 2 lines here going to diffirent exchanges and same issue

Nelis I have been having the exact same problems but with World of Warcraft. I did 2 hours last night of Ragnaros heroic 25 man attempts with absolutely no lag whatsoever. Then all of a sudden I start lagging and I have no idea what is causing it. It just makes no sense whatsoever.

Mweb, I did notice it was a lot more of an issue with the IS servers but that makes no sense as I'm sure the EA auth goes direct?
 
I've got the exact same issue right now with BC2. I can log into game. But cannot browse servers, as it says Failed to connect to EA. But its working fine on my 'why-do-i-still-have-to-use-backup-adsl-accounts-in-2011' account
