Same here. Sites don't finish loading, they either time out, or some images on the page just don't load.

Please fix asap. My girlfriend is driving me crazy because her farmville is not working.

Something is definitely going on. Either cable break, or Mweb or Telkom. Since Sunday night everything has been slow and intermittent. Same behaviour at home and business account at work. Connection dropped twice at work so far today.
And every time after the connection comes back the internet is fast for a while.

So somebody is throwing switches or repairing/attending to something...

Any news Mweb guy?

Yesterday just a couple international sites were slow. I thought it was maybe them because most of my browsing was good. But today I'm really feeling the slowness all over the place. I'm in CT.

Hi Everyone,

All your international issues are noted. We are currently investigating the root cause of the issue.

Please send me all your ping & tracert and the area you from as it will help in the investigation.

Your patience is much appreciated.

Kind regards,

MWEB Guy

I'm in PTA and still when trying to ping for example google it goes to 209.85.227.103 instead of 74.125.233.17. sounds like a routing issue there.

I'm in CT, and noticed that international traffic is going via SAT-3, but the routing at the London end is complicated (goes via Amsterdam when destination is bbc.co.uk).

I thought I was the only one experiencing slow traffic on a few sites, but it has gotten much worse today.

MWEB Guy: There is currently nothing wrong with my tracerts, with > 98% throughput to international sites. The problem I'm having seems to be timeouts with HTTP, which cause pages to stop loading. I can only assume this is something to do with MWeb's proxy server (or load balancer), since HTTP and ping use different protocols.

P.S. I downloaded some MP3s this morning, and they worked fine (>100KByte/sec).

My ping to google is fine now and I hope it stays that way or better. getting ping of 40ms - 60ms

I'm in Centurion and it's not any better than it was yesterday. Still painfully slow for any international site. And of course nothing on the MWeb status page. Why is that MWEB Guy?
