Getting really slow speeds, been like this from about 4 in the afternoon today. Barely got to this thread and sending a pm seems impossible, all I get is "waiting for mybroadband.co.za". Ill send tracerts if I can, but doubt even this post will make it.

Yes, it is only browsing. Youtube 720 plays without buffering.

Anyone else getting really slow speeds with Megaupload today. Getting between 1 and 6kbs on 1mbs account. When I just started the download it downloaded at 60kbs and then dropped to 0. As I'm typing the current speed is less than 1kbs

EDIT: Going to switch off the modem/router for a bit and hope for the best.

Turned everything off for almost an hour now, but no improvement. Still very slow.

EDIT: Testing with fileserve I get about 42kbs. Not great but at least its better than Megaupload.

384 is slow enough to begin with, there really is not much room for further speed degradation, if you don't want to send your customers into homicidal fugues of rage.

I phoned MWEB support a couple of days ago, the person had no idea really, and suggested I phone Telkom and get my port reset or something. Same problem; cripplingly slow speeds (this is just straightforward browsing, by the way).

I realized that I have one of those Afrihost free monthly gigs, so I gave it a go to compare. What an amazing difference, sites actually load up, instead of sitting around for minutes at a time doing sweet **** all.

Back to MWEB, immediately, the same problem again.

What is wrong with your service? Why does it not work properly?
