Thanks Copacetic, I have logged the call back already. You should be contacted tomorrow.
Kind regards, MWEB Guy
Is anyone else experiencing AWFUL performance from their MWEB accounts in the last few days??
My 4meg uncapped is absolutely useless, downloads never finish and are always interrupted, pages half load if at all, youtube videos will not cache...
Been happy with this account for 6 months or so but this is terrible.

Mweb... have you taken the bf3 beta and prioritized it as gaming traffic on your servers? Playing during the day on mweb 4mb uncapped results in disconnections... doesn't happen in the evenings. If I switch to a wage or afrihost account... no disconnections during the day. Oh... this is using mweb bf3 beta servers.
This is like Bad Company 2 used to be on the mweb network when it first came out.
According to the top guy at MWEB, games are given highest priority on the network. Was he lying?Mweb... have you taken the bf3 beta and prioritized it as gaming traffic on your servers? I have been with mweb uncapped 4 meg pretty much since launch and i must say the service has only improved and in fact it seems to get better every month in terms of shaping/p2p, never have any issues at all. Thanks to all those working behind the scenes to make this possible![]()
Telkom came around, took a look and assured me the problem is not a local one.
With regards to the second hop of my traceroute timing out, this is between MWEB and someone they must deal with in Pretoria, according to the very nice chap from Telkom.

Why does that second step time out? Does it matter?
Why am I having slow downs then?
Who do I turn to next?
Good Afternoon Copacetic
Please advise if your experience has improved since the Telkom tech was at your premises?
He did not do anything. Aside from test my line, which is just perfect he says.
As for the slowdowns, they are intermittent.
I'll be sure to post when and if they happen again.
*edit*
I still want to know what the story is with that time-out. According to the MWEB tech guy I spoke to, that's definitely a problem.
Now, I have both MWEB and Telkom seemingly at a loss for how to resolve this.
Where do I go from here?
