Mweb ??? -when is shaping being eased off tonight... surely your network cant be running at 100% still ??????
 
The interwebz turned back on again after a few days. All my backlogged TV shows downloaded in the night on usenet. Thanks for flipping the switch mweb.
 
It looks like torrents are opened up from 6 am to 7 am. I'm assuming full bandwidth has only been restored for http?
 
Yeah torrents sucks at the moment a fully 20Kbps for my... browsing is ok.... Itunes the same....
 
I'm also getting full speed browsing and direct downloads but torrents are still giving me a headache. I really hope this Seacom problem gets fixed soon. Not being able to use torrents at all is quite annoying.
 
Hi MWEB Guy..

Is there any reason why torrents are so badly shaped ? Is it still a bandwidth issue?
 
So I need to pay for a month I'm not going to use, but just have to deal with it when Seacom goes down whenever it chooses to break.

Damn. Download speed took a dive a few minutes ago. Down to 10kbs on 1mb line. (Megaupload)
 
Hi Everyone, good news on the iTunes issue.

Thanks to everyone who brought this to our attention and for providing us with the feedback to pin point the problem.

Our engineers have identified a glitch on our caching system which was causing the problem that some of you experienced over the past few days. A fix has been put in place for this.

Please let us know if you have any further issues.

Yip, torrents are damn slow for me too. There's no ways everything's "back to 100%." My upload it more than my download, sitting at 10-15kB/s.

But at least things are going...i guess. Just no where near normal.

If everything is back to normal (100%) why does the mweb call centre agents say Seacom is the cause for our lack of connection to P2P last night?
this is bogus man, coz we are paying for a service not even being delivered.

I called mweb last night and they hit with a bluff that they resetting your account to a different IP address nonsense... wat a load of crap, u guys didnt flick the switch to open for connections to news servers.

ever since this seacom debacle i was more than happy with mweb, i even bragged about it but now i m just sad that i am bound to a contractual death sentence with you guys...

I wait to see how u guys pick up once everything is restored by seacom which is within the few days (hopefully)...
 
Hi Everyone,

Our engineers are still verifying the caching fix we put in place and may make further adjustments. We also understand that iTunes servers are under some pressure due to the iOS5 release and problems have been reported globally. We’ll update you as soon as we have further feedback from the engineers.

I can't log into steam keeps on giving me this error "steam is having trouble connecting to the steam servers"
 
Anyone got the Mweb cancellation form? I've mailed them and they're yet to get back to me, so just want to speed things up. If you do please mail it to me at my nick( at ) g mail dotcom.
