To be honest if can do 40gigs a month i'm happy, I really don't have high expectations when comes to downloading hence why I don't have a problem with the shaping. Over and above I'm doing way beyond my expectations which is in the region of 80/100 gigs which is really just a bonus, at least for me. :)
 
I'd be happy with ANY speed currently. NNTP is just dead in the water right now. MWEB Guy told me to wait till after business hours, and it's now 17:30 which I would think would see SOME lessening of the throttling - but if you've been getting good speeds all week/day, clearly something else is wrong, yet somehow only for a portion of the uncapped subscribers.

NTTP has been completely dead (giganews). Ping/ICMP fine, tcp/119 dead. Browsing slow, but usable.... Been like that since the 16th. Magically at night from 10PM on the dot till 4AM on the dot, I manage to push about 2mbit/s on my 4mbit/s line, the rest of the time, I am lucky if I sustain 500kbit/s. Before the 16th, I've had no issues what so ever

First time I've ever felt the need to complain about my mweb uncapped since I got it (right when it was launched). At this stage, I'm seriously considering alternatives.

Tried resetting routers (even tried DIFFERENT routers), and frankly no change what so ever...

Moving again - suddenly spiked to 100k/sec from zero. Like someone flipped a switch. (not with a VPN)

My net is acting up... It ends up in a way that I can't browse anything, pages stay on loading. Have to restart the router for it to come back each time. It's on international sites and local sites. >.<

Something not right - I'm in Rondebosch. Nothing running except attempting to stream Blizzcon (on 500kb, as in kilobits) with little success.

Code: 
Ping statistics for 212.58.244.59:
    Packets: Sent = 452, Received = 126, Lost = 326 (72% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 193ms, Maximum = 364ms, Average = 266ms

Local is pretty bad too:

Ping statistics for 196.2.63.110:
    Packets: Sent = 1147, Received = 1140, Lost = 7 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 31ms, Maximum = 919ms, Average = 154ms

My international is also dismal this morning... EVERY weekend is the same story :(

Which international traffic are you referring to? Is it every weekend since SEACOM went down?

My NZBs are going damn slow. Been going at under 10kb/s with spikes to about 200kb/s every few mins.
Is there a problem with NZB downloads atm?

Hi Bar_Rat,

Shaped account speeds are never guaranteed, these account speeds as you know it, fluctuate. Especially when there is maintenance happening.
