My awesome new toothbrush!

I bought a new toothbrush yesterday - Aquafresh Interdental Buzz. It's fantastic. It has some fine hairs that is longer than the rest of the bristles that really gets in between your teeth. And it also has a battery powered vibrating function. It cost R49. I have to floss carefully to get my teeth and gums as clean as brushing with this new toothbrush.


I can recommend this.

Only thing is I can seem open the thing to see the battery. I assume the toothbrush's life is limited to the life of the battery.

Maybe not, but it helps for me. I have a permanent metal brace along the inside of my lower incisors which makes flossing difficult. This toothbrush helps perfectly.

Me too.
I usually get a new tooth brush every 2-3 months so this seems quite expensive for every 3 months, but if I do see it I'll think about buying it.

i've been using the vibrating version of this toothbrush for a while now, its a waste of time, i also owned the normal one, which was far better value for money, plus the normal one lasted longer than the vibrating one. The vibrating version gets damaged much quicker, if you brush a bit more passionately :wtf:

I use the Braun electric toothbrush - best thing ever! I get replaceable heads so it doesnt work out that expensive. It cleans like a dream, you can really feel the difference. I dont think I can ever use a manual toothbrush again lol

I've got the same one, it's quite nice but the vibration is a bit of a gimmick imo. If you want that it's probably better to get a proper electric toothbrush.

BTW Picard, a thread about toothbrushes, really? Is life that boring now that you don't have any more Borg to fight?

Went to see my orthodontist a year or so ago to ask if I can get it removed and he said no it has to stay cause if removed my teeth may end up crowning or something like that meaning I might have to put the braces back on. But it's no big problem, after having so much metal in your mouth, one piece of metal behind your teeth which can't be seen is a joy.

Those fine hairs wear out too quickly. You might be pleased with it now but it will lose its effectiveness much quicker than other better brushes.
