My First, eh, ... date, I think? :erm:

Wall-of-text alert...

Thx for the advice guys :D

Can I say that's a bad idea...

Sure. Go for it. I'm the one standing here all... unknowing... needing the answers and all that. The more ya'll can give me, the better. Every little bit of info (be that comments, insults, advisories, "lol"s ), helps :D

Present her with a small bunch of flowers (r50, NOT MORE) when you pick her up by all means.

Lets clear up some things. Due to circumstances etc etc, I will not be picking her up. We will be meeting up, for the sake of throwing my best friend, Google, off my trail... in PE at NuMetro. With a quick stop afterward at whatever-we-feel-like. Then after that ... she'll be dropping me off at home :D

Hows that for breaking the "normal" flow of them as-seen-in-the-movies type of date?

Yeah, give her flowers at the next date rather :)
EDIT: And something small and NOT roses.

Ok, I get it. No flowers. No roses. Next date. Maybe. Cool

agree to everything she says and she's yours for life.

I'm not agreeing with everything. Conflict creates something to talk about to some degree... But the Don't talk much part I can do. I'm the world champ in that!

Relax! If something embarrassing happens, just laugh it off.

I don't foresee anything embarrassing happening...

If she objects, offer to let her pay next time (and then arrange the next date).

I found this gem on one of the 280374 different sites I've been scouring the last few days! Seems like a perfect card to play. 2 Flies in one go. "You can pay next time, but you better bring your credit cards because next time we're going to a 5 star restaurant." I'll need a whole lot more of these kinda things... I sux at flirting. Or rather, I've got no track record (experience) with it ... yet.

-Movies and dinners make lousy first dates.

I know. But I had to start somewhere. Rest assured that I've included a mutually beneficial activity between all the plans. I swear it will be unique.

Oh and, LOL at the dog training comment! Classic.

-I would kind of steer clear about never having been on a date. You could say you've never had a serious relationship, but make it sound like you're picky about who you would get involved with rather than a social misfit! No offence, I was one once too...

Now this one is kinda interesting. Although I can understand your underlying reasoning as to why I should rather not say a thing about this. Would just make things overly complicated to some degree.

-And just FYI, when you drop her off at home is NOT the right time. If you haven't kissed her before then don't "go for the kiss".

Last time I kissed a girl, was when I was 4yo. Goes without saying that I'll probably not initiate something like this unless the moment is glaringly-obvious "just right" or appropriate. Although I'll probably need one of them indicator lights with the word "NOW" in bright red to light up and flash, to actually catch when the moment will be supposedly "right".

So the question is, when do you go for the kiss?

@BLo_0p I like the idea of the cue cards, but I'm just not the cuecard type. I always have cuecards when I give a speech, but I never actually end up using them. So do not worry I'll probably give them a miss.

The advise in this thread neglects to take a few quite important things into consideration - what is your goal with the date, what kind of morals do you have, etc.. Personally, I'm an old-fashioned Christian. I'm currently dating the most wonderful girl on this planet, but what is fulfilling and special for me would be a waste of time for many other people. I've known my GF for several years before our relationship went beyond the 'friends' stage, and kissing only followed long after that. Come to think of it, the moments between us that I see as the most special involved no kissing at all: a picnic in the rain (oops!), driving around for ages in PTA in search of cheese cake (fridge, not baked), doing several laps of a small mall eating ice cream, ...

So my advise to you is to figure out what you want in a relationship, and treat this first date accordingly.

As for when the right moment for kissing is: she'll show you. ;-)

Had a chat with her earlier but only got around to posting this now. I managed to come to the conclusion that she is stressed about Wednesday! Found myself rolling around on the floor here, laughing my behind off after finding out. Sure I'm evil - sue me. It came as a relief to me to some degree. Although it is still odd. I'll need to prod her bit more for moar info.

Morals: What is that? My condoms are packed dude.
Goal: Dunno. Get the date over with asap so that things can progress!

But on a serous note, as with any advice given on the forum it is up to each individual to measure it against their own sense of moral beliefs and then act accordingly. That will differ for each and every one of us. That is why I love the forums. So many different people with even more amount of different views.

She better (shame, poor thing). I think I might have a faulty actuator in relation to that function of my brain.

I'm concerned about the fact that you're are planning to prod her for more info.

Don't fret, I won't damage her in any way. :p
But seriously, I won't force her into anything, I'll just throw around some random seemingly innocent questions. No harm in that.

Dude !

Don't stress about the kiss too much either. The best thing to do is play it safe and go for a hug and peck on the cheek, it establishes a level of intimacy that you can build on.

If you think about it its quite a polite thing to do, but by all means if things are going well then pull in and close the deal. Kisses are important for a girl.

ld what did she do that made it seem like she's stressed? or did she say so?
Tacet.. guessing you not into pre-marital sex?

You're over-thinking and over-researching this :D

You sound like a cool (and thoughtful) guy. Just go out and have fun, and try to ensure she does too. No need to rush things or force anything. Everything will fall into place as it should.

And we do expect a report-back :D

If you and her get absolutely hammered together, neither will remember the first kiss and half the date.

You can then laugh and joke about the 1st date on the 2nd date - and as the kissing and sex is over with, it won't me an awkward moment from that point.

bad Idea. If you both get hammered and end up in bed, it'll make things awkward. She might not feel well considering even before the relationship started they had sex. I dont think some ladies would like that.

I asked her how she was doing, how the rest of her week looks like. Got a reply that I would expect from someone that is stressing about a specific day, without actually saying the word stress.

Have you gone on the date yet dude? Lol, good luck man! :D enjoy!
Soon my young padawan, soon. Thx :)

I'm expecting a detailed report tomorrow night. It's almost like a cheap soapie! just...better.
Almost like a cheap soapie, just real. Very real. I'll deliver, don't fret...

Research is needed man. I'd rather know too much, than walk in blind. So how does one sound cool over a digital platform like this? :p Everything better fall into place... if it doesn't it's not the end of the world.

Nope, I'll wait till married. Non-Christians probably think that I'm insane, but that's fine. :-p
Let them think what they want. :)

Why exactly would I want to forget something like that?
