My Windows 10 experience

For those on Win 10, what's the verdict so far? Seems mixed... Any of you running Alt.Binz and uTorrent on Win 10? Do they work fine?

Upgraded 4 of the family PC's to Windows 10.
1. my old asus centrino 2 laptop
2. i3 family desktop
3. sisters new asus laptop
4. my i5 gaming PC

Besides the centrino 2 laptop, which i did a fresh windows install but kept personal documents, all was a straight upgrade from windows 8.1.

Have to say there was no issues and painless. Windows 10 has been great imo. My old laptop actually feels usable too. utorrent works fine.

Awesome dude, thanks.

id say quite happy with win 10;

looks a whole lot better than that cr@p 8, and a bit newer than 7, GTA5 works, plenty of spyware im sure, but I got a nice solution to that;
simply disable my LAN everytime I dont use it, sure its sending to MS all kinds of crap, dont want to try load zonealarm and see what it tries to send!

ill be honest here, only my gaming home PC on 10, waiting for somebody with a samsung laptop specifically the NP300 series
to report in, and tell me if they had to do anything funny to get theirs to work?

had huge issues getting that to work with 7, and what I show I had at samsung HQ, getting them to honor my warranty;
as win 7 is verboten!!! wonder what now they will do that its on 10?

I don't have a prob with Win 10 on a desktop machine. Nice, smooth and clean but I wouldn't recommend it for a laptop up until the Hybrid Shutdown is fixed.

What's wrong?

Hybrid shutdown puts the laptop in a sleep state but the laptop doesn't switch off. The lights stay on and it consumes battery power at the same time.
When you try to switch the laptop on again then it is still trying to shutdown from the previous shutdown up until I have to force a shutdown by holding the power button in for a few seconds.

I think that the problem has got to do with the Intel Engine Management software.
Many users are complaining about it.

This is triggering hardware power off, not a Windows forcing shutdown. Windows current data is lost and Windows has to recover on the next boot. Not what I would do every time. Better option is to disable fast shutdown in the power options. Also had the same problem.

I have done everything recommended and it still doesn't work.

Pity. I was going to suggest the same.

Then there is other way to do it properly. Initiate Windows restart and press shortly power button during the POST screen.

Actually, turns out I downloaded the wrong edition ISO, which wasn't the same as my Win 8.1. Silly me

Same thing happened to me - downloaded home instead of home single language for my sister's laptop :o.

I kept all the versions I downloaded so I can upgrade other laptops / pcs. Currently have the following versions:

- Home - 64 bit
- Home single language - 64 bit
- Pro - 32/64 bit
