Filled up this morning after completing a "economy run". Rode at speed limit as much as possible to see how economic I can get the bike.

Filled up: 11.64L
Cost: R157.95
Distance Travelled: 326KM

Fuel Economy: 3.57L/100KM or 28.01KM/L

Next up: Ride soos 'n vok ek wil, and compare results to this one. :D

PS: gloves worked sufficiently.
PSS: When you wear your 1.5k gloves, is your hands actually warm on a cold day? Or just not hurting? (have never had expensive gloves, so just want to see how my cheapies rate)

Dunno ... Have heated grips :D ... but actually no, they stay warm (also have knuckle guards that deflect wind). Ill put heated grips onto level 1 as soon as the temp drops to about 17C using my summer gloves. If it gets any colder, I'll move to level 2 heat, if still cold then I'll use my winter gloves.

Says the guy with a 125

..and a Honda Jazz.

The first 125 was getting 2L/100. New one is getting 2.9 (only filled up once though so we'll see once I've filled up more).

I'll consider maybe getting that new 310cc from BMW but first I have my other hobbies (which I've been neglecting) to fund... and camera lenses are expensive

don't think a bigger lense will help ... maybe cheaper to just photoshop it a bit bigger?

Philistine! It's about speed not size!

EDIT: The more I fix this post the more wrong it sounds

My hands last hurt in days gone by when using summer gloves in winter.

Now I have heated grips too so honestly don't know.

Jazz is still doing what 6.5 l/100 in traffic.

Maybe less on an open road at 100km/h.

Open road no hills unexciting driving - best I ever got was 4.9
Fourways to Killarney on the N1/M1 (highway city traffic) - I averaged at 5.6 about
5km each way to work and back HEAVY traffic - 8.2

I said that as a joke though since he is sitting on half a Jazz engine if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah which should average out to the 6.5 I mentioned.

6.2 if you drive like granny.

Newer ones are a bit lighter I guess. This is the 2007 1.5 Vtec model.

Yeah I must say heated grips allow me to ride with summer gloves deep into the almost winter months.

Probably more so with your hand guards.

Never use Level 2 as it's too hot and actually the manually says you should only use it for quick warm and then switch it down.

On my trip down from Mpumalanga last July I would often start in the morning at 0-degrees and put Lv2 on and then by the time I get out of whatever dorp tune it down.

The moment I'm in constant sunlight turn it off.
